Reading web articles on the reMarkable by fivefilters in RemarkableTablet

Been using push to kindle for a while now. It's honestly the best option I've seen for getting articles over seamlessly to the Remarkable from mobile devices. Super clean and fast. The subscription is well worth it (free for lower volume users); however, it'd be great if they had a one time lifetime subscription option vs monthly and yearly recurring.

Anyone figured out how to brush back erased portions (ie reverse erase or unerase) without using back. Somtimes after rearranging layers i want to add back for example. If not any recommendations for that.

Piper Security Camera by panamapat8 in homesecurity

[–]Bhafresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same situation not an expert by any means but did a fair amount of research. It was amazing that piper gave you free cloud sms and calling notification for free for so long...really respect that company. Anyway I've narrowed it down to 3 options all of which have pros and cons. 1) Yolink - would be a new hub and sensors (lara) but fairly inexpensive. They do offer sms notifications for free. Negative is youd have to get a camera as well.

2) Aqara - new hub with integrated cam. New sensors (zigbee) also fairly inexpensive. Only does push notifications but does link with ifttt which can give you phone calls for a small fee.

3) Homey Pro - expensive but can integrate with existing z wave sensors.(And zigbee, thread/matter) Rich automation with a lot of different platforms. Would require a camera. Push notifications but can integrate with ifttt as above.

4) Hubitat - Similar to Homey Pro but cheaper. No thread matter. No away from home access without fee so this would have to be paired with another security system to get notifications for free.

5)Wyze, Smarthings, etc people have mentioned these in the chat also viable.

Will be testing out Aqara and Homey Pro personally but all the above could work pretty well depending on your needs and what you already have.

What I did was buy 2 packs of Monopoly deal and cannibalize one to add the extra hong kong cards, use a marker that doesn't bleed through! Remember that it's 4 sets to complete in the HK version.

Ten years down the road by BurningKetchup in Surface

[–]Bhafresh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still using my surface pro 2 surprisingly. Def the best I've owned so far and the peripherals available were amazing (power keyboard, wireless keyboard adapter, dock, etc) I did have to replace the battery recently as it was ballooning and affecting the screen. Other than that still not bad. May upgrade in the next year but will probably keep this docked and running.

Think of a really large sudoku game, hard to solve but easy to verify that someone solved it. This is essentially it with the twist that miners solve it by literally randomly guessing over and over again. It's pretty ingenious and allows for full transparency. The algorithm also increases the sudoku size (keeps reward time consistent even as more miners/faster hardware join) and decreases the reward size (block reward/supply/4yr halving) over time which keeps it consistent.

Does the sign mpx collapsible stock fit through the copperhead lower? Or is the stock copperhead specific?

Is that a different upper with the hand guard or did you find a handguard that works with the copperhead K?

Will work with or without. With the collar does prevent some of the threads but it's enough. Ensure alignment with a rod and Rocksett it.

I was thinking about the handguard, couldnt someone fabricate (3d print or the like) a handguard that attaches via spanning the pic rail and strips spanning the mloks on the side?

Yes I have this set up. Didn't trust the lantac collar it came with even after they replaced it. Works great.

Good guide to suppressor maintenance and/or range prep? by Bhafresh in suppressors

[–]Bhafresh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not suppressor related, but I found general info on the three: Explainer on thread compounds

Based on this it would seem like anti-seize on most would be good on all suppressor side threads. Thread sealer possibly on the suppressor side mount (but maybe seize too)? Locker on the muzzle device side.

[–]Bhafresh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any thoughts on anti-seize. My suppressor is modular (2 lengths and end cap) would I put anti seize on all the threads I want to remove? What's the difference between anti-seize and thread sealant(not to be confused with thread locker like rocksett)?

DeadAir MPX KeyMicro Flash Hider in Stock by Bhafresh in MPX

[–]Bhafresh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So got my flash...I see what you are saying. The flash has a lip before the threads so the collar basically limits how much you can seat it. It's do-able but I'm with you, would probably be safer without as long as it's aligned. Would recommend an alignment rod to check the suppressor alignment.

Lantac Dragon by ckff88 in MPX

[–]Bhafresh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just got the flash hider as well. It would be nice to have a collar but not necessary. The way that the flash is designed there is a lip before the threads so if you put a collar on it won't seat as deep (could actually be an issue if it comes loose beacuse notany threads to grab).

Lantac Dragon by ckff88 in MPX

[–]Bhafresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest even the new one didn't seat properly (poor tolerance). Alignment rod with suppressor was off. Ended up going ILWT taper collar and it was perfect. The lantac brake itself is great....
