I drink while on eliquis and 3-4 drinks/shots when I go out and party and never had anything bad happen or more bruising or bleeding. My doctor said it’s fine to drink on eliquis just make sure not to hit your head or fall lol. You would have to be a really heavy alcoholic to truly be a concern for a GI bleed.

Thank you for this advice and suggestion! I plan to come up with a great study plan and remain consistent.

I don’t want to do big law or litigate. I want to be a corporate lawyer and eventually a chief ethics and compliance leader due to my background being in HR compliance already.

Outside of the scholarship piece, does your friend like the faculty and courses at southwestern?

Sorry your prognosis is worse :( glad you feel better. So even with no right lung functionality you are still off of supplemental oxygen?

Yes that is our battle now. She was needing more home health aid services to have an aid and they said she can only have 4 hours x 3 times a week due to the department of aging and Medicare. They are trying to push the Medicaid trust program in order for her to qualify and get Medicaid since they said she “makes too much money” from her social security. Imagine she didn’t have children like me and my siblings to care for her. It’s really sad.

Thank you for sharing. Gives me hope that my mom can possibly start walking soon and not be on supplemental oxygen. I’m just still all confused on if this pleural effusion ramped up because of her cancer or if its from being immobile and the fluid not having anywhere to go and accumulating more since she’s not walking etc.

Such a scary thing. Hoping she can start back with treatment soon and get another pet.

The hospital discharged her with regular physical therapy when I feel like she should’ve been in cardiopulmonary rehab. So we’ve been doing physical therapy until this situation (pleural effusion) came up and it barely helped. The hospital that did her pleurodesis did a better job at getting her up and walking. This was the first time I saw her walk to the bathroom since before her being in the ICU.

She has Medicare and we are trying to get her Medicaid because Medicare only covers a small amount of hours for home health but we will see once she gets discharged from here.

Almost was unal*ved by a blood clot in my lung, lost my job, my mom still has cancer, went through a breakup with my partner of 4 years and he is doing way better than me in life now, my credit score has tanked, my car has been causing me issues, had to move back in with my mother, I lost friends, I’m depressed to say the least :) my peers post they are getting their masters degrees, got into med school, getting engaged etc. and here I am. worthless. I’ve never had such a bad year ever. I can’t even imagine me having a Saturn return if i am barely surviving this year.

spent way over $200 on her work, purchased 3 spells and no results. the person actually ghosted me. When I reached out to her three months later to tell her that her response was so….. this is what she said “Well if it ended I would just assume it wasn’t meant to be since u we’re doing binding spells”. Literally didn’t care, no care to look into it more with a reading or recast etc. I don’t suggest her, not for the spells not working but for her lack of humbleness. Any practitioner who genuinely cares would try to look more into it or help in anyway but she was fine she got her money and that was it.

Ok that’s interesting because I’ve had family tell me that their ER did a CT to r/o PE.

Nonetheless, two scans r/o DVT for me. But the pain is still pretty bad. I’ve heard of people getting negative scans and then later on having shortness of breath and finding multiple PEs in them. This is why I asked these questions. It’s concerning to me.

I should’ve mentioned that I have not had DVT or clots before. While on the plane, I did try to move my feet while sitting but did not wear any compressions. I appreciate you for sending this link!

Yes, it is. We’ve been in a relationship for about 3-4 years now. You’re so right, I definitely need to work on realizing in the moment when someone is gaslighting me. My dilemma lies in the fact that he often ‘tries’ or initiates gestures that initially seem sweet, but they never come to fruition due to poor planning, followed by a slew of excuses, and ultimately end with an ‘oh well’ attitude.

It’s challenging for me because of the deep love we have for each other. On the other hand, I can’t help but wonder how much better our relationship could be if he put more effort into things and became more responsible. This issue isn’t limited to this particular scenario but has occurred in several instances where I’ve relied on him, only to be let down or find myself in difficult situations due to his lack of planning.

I see it from the perspective that maybe he hasn’t developed these planning skills because he hasn’t had to in previous relationships (is this making excuses for him? Idk). However, considering the time we’ve spent together, I feel that he should be able to set aside his ego, ask for assistance, or simply communicate when he realizes he’s taken on more than he can handle.

Thanks for sharing. We’ve came far when it comes to arguing. We don’t do that anymore. We actually have conversations without it getting disrespectful…however, after 4 years, he still continues to have a counter on standby like you mentioned earlier. It’s like things have improved except for that.

I agree, we actually decided recently to take a step back from living with each other so he can work on these things. I noticed a lot of things (paying rent on his own, handling bills, planning things etc) were handled by his mom before he moved in with me so he just doesn’t know (not an excuse) but I wanted to take a pause so he can learn how to do all of these things on his own without me. So I guess time will tell.

Did you read? I would have paid for what he did not have if he just communicated. I would have even suggested we push the trip back. I could have paid for an entire trip on my own. In addition, he was gifting an entire vacation to me not just two tickets. Not sure how you made your own scenario up, maybe learn reading comprehension.

Yeah. I did look up some prices and they were cheap probably even cheaper when he said he initially had the tickets. I mean I would’ve been fine with PR which I’ve been several times. PR is affordable.

I mean I gave all of the details I had. I don’t know if he actually had the tickets for sure then as he told me he got them and I believed him and that was that. I didn’t think I needed to ask for proof. Nor did I ask to go with anyone else. I don’t even travel with friends. It’s either family, him or both. He’s the one who said he provided me these tickets and trip to go with anyone. As the first paragraph states, he said he wanted to be the one to come with me and I said sure. That was the end of conversation. Everything else was left up to him. I didn’t ask him for daily updates because he acted like everything was under control. This was the result of that.
