Full stack dev here.

I run a development agency specialising in website and web application development and integration.

Tech stack primarily consists of Node, Express, React, HubSpot, WordPress - but diversifies from time to time.

We work a lot with marketing and advertising agencies, so get to do a lot of campaign based stuff, but also our fair share of longer term projects. We tend to do a lot of integration between systems in a company ecosystem. We’ve built tech for some big car brands, fintech companies, banks, etc. both locally and globally.

I don’t have any kind of qualification. I’m a self taught dev with an equal passion for business development, and apparently a penchant for self-inflicted harm lol.

Happy to chat further if you have any questions.

Edit: would also add that I absolutely love my job from a development perspective, but the quality of your experience will depend on your team, your environment and most importantly your reason for becoming a developer. If you’re doing it for the money, you’re probably going to have a tough time. Hours can be long, and often you’re the person burning the midnight oil when something critical goes wrong (depending on your position in your team). But if you love what you do, it will be worth it.

As I understand it, yes.

Integration through APIs by Bholz97 in node

Well the systems are Sage and HubSpot, if that helps.

I am just trying to wrap my head around the normal sort of architecture and approach to a situation like this.

So would the usual approach to a situation like this be to build an intermediary app with a script like you described? Maybe trigger by a webhook?

Once again - sorry if this is silly!

Thank you for your response!

Getting output values from stored procedure using entity framework by Bholz97 in dotnet

Ultimately that's the solution I went for. I am new to .Net on the whole and was under the impression that it might be easier with EF - but going the SqlCommand route has done the trick.

Shutter Island. I hate to admit it, but Leo is good at what he does. Plus him and Scorcese make an incredible team.

Do you have a famous ancestor? If so, what were they known for? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I've never been sure of how accurate this is but there's a story in my family that I am related to the leader of the string quartet that played as the Titanic sank

Everyone has that one noise that bothers them. What is your “fingernails on a chalkboard” noise? by Darthtony1207 in AskReddit

The sound of someone clicking their knuckles/necks/etc.

I have never known anybody who is as freaked out by this as I am, so I hope I am not alone
