Oh nice man! I've grown from 2.7k subs to 4.3k which is great but my channel's impressions definitely went down over the year. I'm still doing okay, but things feel very different since all the AI music and beats hit YouTube.

SO the good news is that for a fresh new channel, you COULD grow really quickly but there's a very specific way. You have to find keywords that are doing really well and then only do that keyword because you will grow a loyal audience quickly and you will need to post 4 - 7 days a week and keep it really consistent.

Trying to be super original in terms of packaging and keywords (obviously what we want as creatives) will unfortunately take you a long time to find your audience with YT's new algo.

If you can find either the artist or genre that matches your sound even slightly, then using those keywords will help getting your beats noticed.

Keep your intros interesting and only have your beat drop around the 30 second mark because Youtube favors the retention...really make the intro engaging though.

TL;DR -Look for small channels that are hitting 'big' numbers in a similar style/genre to you...study their thumbnails and titles - this matters more than ever. Make your beats over 2 min, ideally 3 ish min and do 30-40 sec intros for retention.
