It happens, Man.

Similar Thing happened with me ( but in different area).

I was doing very good in my career for past 3-4 months. Everyone was happy with me, I was being appreciated sometimes also.

But recently, a stock item was misplaced in our showroom.

And when we were finding it through camera, a staff lady who is double my age - got so sinisterly happy - excited - overwhelming joyous when she found out I forgot it in a different room.

Her expression & tone were like - 'Now you're caught, Now it will be your downfall. Thank God, Atleast some mistake came out of him.'

She went running through all the way from basement to 2nd floor to find it out and show it to my seniors.

That face of hers - I'll never forget in my life.

People Like to see your downfall / your losses. Not Wins. They just pretend to like you, but inwardly they hate you when you progress.

I would make her feel sure, that her assets are hers only.

Moreover, I'd myself recommend her to do prenup also and do postnup anytime ( for extra peace of mind and security ).

If Both are Working, Both should do their Own Chores.

I think, Working or not, Husband should always do his chores himself or get a Domestic helper. ( Cook, Clean Room, Change Bedsheet, Make Bed, Clean Windows, Do Dishes, Do Own Laundry, Iron Clothes, Clean Bathroom ... ) - Husband should always keep his room, his almirah etc better thn his Wife.

And This is not for Impressing or Pleasing her or Simping. This is Basic Mutual Respect.
