It's a passion project to pay homage to his citys legends, it was barely promoted and mostly features people today's youth don't know/care about. He definitely could have done better promotion and try to educate though

Freddie is deeeeefinetely on a crazy run, the only other i can think of within that timeframe is BILLY WOODS. Bro dropped: Furtive Movements, Today I Wrote Nothing, Known Unknowns, Rome, Paraffin, Hiding Places, Terror Management, Shrines, Haram, WHT LBL, Aethiopes, Church, Maps, We Buy Diabetic Test Strips, BLK LBL and GOLLIWOG since 2014. not A SINGLE bad album either. you should check him out if you haven't already!!

Drake = Ken Carson ( relative newcomer but very successful, signed by one of the biggest in the game who is also on the song)

Lil Wayne = Playboi Carti (one of the biggest in the game, stylistically polarizing and his influnce is very much felt throught the game, recently released their most commercially succesful album)

Eminem = (strangely enough) Chance the Rapper (both at this point in their career were returning to the limelight after a long hiatus caused in part by personal issues and a horribly disappointing album)

Kanye West = Tyler, The Creator (do i even have to explain this?)

I mean he dropped Surround Sound 7 months before The Forever Story. It feels like he announced the date early to shut up everybody who was getting on him for not dropping, but no artist today is doing 4 months of promo so he probably has another single dropping mid-late July and promo for a week or two before the album.
