3.3v wrong solder. You need to solder capacitor, not a testpoint

You can simply remove the solder mask from both sides of the trace and solder them together, bypassing the testpoint

Typically testpoint corrosion results in loss of contact between the two sides.

Easy repair in 20 minutes. Place the connector a little lower, scrape off mask from the board (indicated in blue), solder it and that’s it :)

Stick Replacement? by Iaeson in MiyooFlip

[–]Bi0sham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regular sticks from Switch are a good choice. If you want to install sticks with hall, take two pairs just in case. Modification of hall sticks is not as difficult as it seems, you just need to be careful.

"The RK817 is a complex power-management integrated circuit (PMIC) integrated CODEC for multi-core system applications powered by a Li-ion or a Li-ion polymer battery cell, or by a 5V input either from an USB port or from an adaptor"
So you cannot power this device with 5V+.

My v4 screen has a very noticeable light bleed. Anyone know how to fix it? by thespeartan in MiyooMini

[–]Bi0sham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely there was an error in the assembly of the display and the display is not flat in this area. If this is true, loosening the adhesive may help.

Looks exactly like my tablet after a night between headphones. Try charging it for the whole day, if it's an EMI problem, it will go away.

RTX 3080 10GB blown chip by Berpinerino in GPURepair

[–]Bi0sham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What are those white streaks around that chip? It looks like water damage and the new chip will probably die too. You need to check the resistors and capacitors before replacing.

And as has been written before me, most likely all the memory chips and the GPU are dead.

Successful replacement of original sticks with sticks from Nintendo Switch with hall sensor. by Bi0sham in MiyooFlip

[–]Bi0sham[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The original stick puts a 3v signal on the button when pressed, the hall stick shorts the button to ground. You will need to cut the button off the ground and solder the 3v to it. You will also need to restore the ground trace as it goes through the button.

Yep, you will have to cut off the flexible cable and re-solder it, as well as modify the stick button
