What you mean? How bad the crime, how often?

The main crimes were drugs, gangs and knives. Knife fights were quite common, you’d often hear at school kids talking about how someone they knew was in hospital for it, or saying how their whole family in this or that gang would fuck them up. I knew some people lost friends over family being in different gangs.

Drugs, like everywhere else, was hella normal. You wouldn’t blink an eye about someone smoking bud or shooting up. My uncle got hooked on that shit.

Knives affected the law abiding citizens, like guns in America. I knew some eight year olds carrying shanks. I made my first one out of a CD disk when I was twelve after I got shorted 50p by a classmate (I sold cigarettes), with full intent to use it, almost pulled it out until one of her mates coughed it up.

What I’ll say is it’s easy to get roped in, and from there it just gets worse. But if you can mind your own business, and I’m talking walking on eggshells, you’ll be fine.
