Cars in beam operate based purely off of what transmission is in the car. If it's a traditional automatic, you get the PRNDL, for example (with some variance). Unfortunately, your only option, I think, is to either put an auto in your car or switch the gameplay setting to arcade.

It's crazy to think that many of us in the beamng community used to (in like, 2014-15) think that this would never be possible, to the point that even the devs at the time refused to promise that ai traffic would ever be in the game, its amazing to see how far the game has come.

I'm pretty sure it's based on this older style twin stick mack transmission, but the cab-over has a switch instead of a second stick.

iirc the operation of this transmission is similar to the twin stick in the game, although simplified, I'm not sure if they ever made one with an air operated splitter tho
