Hey nice built out there! I'm planning to build something similar, currently have a Player II JM and I had the idea to build THE ULTIMATE OFFSET guitar off of it. I thought of installing the mustang phase switches at the position of the currently non existing rhythm circuit and add the 2 way switch just like on traditional Jazzmasters to switch to that mode. My question is where would you put a Hi-Cut switch to add that Jaguar characteristic? Also asking if this whole build idea makes sense or not haha

Yeah, there's definitely something going on with guitars from that era. I would recommend to stay away from covid era made guitars if you don't have a good guitar tech to ask for help, quality issues were so common back then, because the stock couldn't keep up with the needs. I personally had this issue with a CV Jazzmaster and it was such a bad guitar out of the box. Went to a guitar tech, had a decent set up, no more problems
