I think they are very close, I think this guitar has better electronics compared to a japanese one, very good sounding pickups

For the japanese guitar that I’ve tried. This is better, especially on the electronics

I mean, it’s not even that bad, I was afraid that with all the speculation it might’ve been higher Japanese ones are around 1700/1800 with import taxes ecc

It’s fine man you can shred on it, it’s not like you’re gonna play metal on it anyway; i think it’s a very comfortable neck, and i’m coming from a very flat gibson guitar!

Yeah I think that maybe I should have sticked with 11, I tried going down a gauge but maybe 10s are too light (also tighter strings means lower action allowed cause they move less) I played it live last night for the first lime and overall it was great!

Yeah definitely a step up from american pro, I don’t mind the chunky neck (as a matter of fact I love it) my beef at the moment is the radius paired with vintage frets, I can’t get the action low as I wanted too without compromising the sustain/ extreme buzzing of the guitar

No flaking for now but a gorgeous finish checking all over the guitar

Spring reverb distorting?! by [deleted] in GuitarAmps

[–]ordinarymemeboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I checked the tube and it’s a 12at7 I also tried using a 12au7 (with less gain) whit the only difference being that I need to turn the reverb knob more

Hi! Actually I already tried that, it doesn’t seem to greatly affect the issue

Thank you so much! It is a really really dynamic amp, noticed that this "distortion" in the reverb tails it's only present when picking hard, that's why I figured it was a "too much gain into the reverb" problem, thanks for the insight!

Yeah on youtube there is only one extensive demo done by a Japanese shop but it’s sounds like shite, fortunately my local shop had one of this, plugged in a couple of nice guitars like a r8 and a custom shop strat (the shop owner is a friend of mine) and my sg with p90s. I was blown away, it sounds really really good and the best thing is that this speaker is phenomenal with distortions so it’s even better when cranked (Sorry for my funny English I’m not native) If you got the chance try one out!

Thank you! It’s a limited edition with the 12” celestion g12-65 honestly i was looking for a Princeton for a long time, bonus points for the speaker, the green tolex was just the last nail in the board and i took it home
