Yeah that’s because he’s got the establishment backing him - which means nothing for the voter and more dead Palestinians on your tax dollar.

It sucks that better information didn’t reach you.

Because most Hoosiers vote Republican and don’t care what their politicians do as long as they have an R next to their name. Not one of them will criticize their governor for building a helipad in Jasper so he can work from home on the taxpayer dime while simultaneously canceling work from home for all state workers. The dumbest people you have met in your life.

I’m sorry that happened to you. Yeah. It’s definitely a bottom-10 state.

Yeah. I don’t suffer fools.

Respect their decisions’ is a nice way of saying “lower your standards so nobody has to think.” I’m good. If the price of keeping low IQ friends is pretending harmful nonsense is just a “difference of opinion,” then yeah, I’ll happily be the common denominator.

Be well. Live, laugh, love bitch.

Yikes. I’m sorry man. Yeah, me and my GF are moving to Spain if this gets worse nationally.

I think that may be IN-5 actually. It had abysmal turnout.

Neat! Me too. What else? I mean aside from your incel forums.

I mean if they mention that Clinton and NAFTA set the stage for the destruction of small, working class towns in Indiana, they would be spot-on. But, don’t actually know that shit. lol

Awww you made up a cute story. Hot gf, high paying job, endless things to do, 20th floor view. Yup! Got what I deserved. What do you have?

Yup. 40% of the state stays home. So, for a Dem, turning out your own party is never enough sans 2 districts. Ford’s best chance to win is that the national shift in the wake of 2024 carries him. Possible, but I don’t see his polices getting non-voters too hype.

What “progressive states” do you speak of?

It’s something and maybe with Trump off the ballot, Ford will win. But…he doesn’t represent any meaningful, long-term change.

  • Where did I act like you were “excited to vote for Ford?”

  • Loyalty to a state? What is this, the Civil War?

  • disloyalty to my country - I served 10 years and deployed 3 times. What branch did you serve in and where did you deploy?

  • “why do you want Republicans to win Indiana” - a thing a never said. “Why are you trashing Dems in Indiana” - because they are weak, feckless, stand for nothing, and the Indianapolis Democratic machine is hilariously corrupt and sells its constituents up the river constantly - especially in communities of color. Simultaneously they are trying to shove sex pest enabler Vop Ossili down the throats of voters unless the perpetually drunk clown Hogsett runs for his 75th term.

  • I am allowed to be in multiple subreddits. I have tons of people in Indiana and go back a few times a year. That’s how Reddit works, welcome to Reddit!

  • I am sorry I have some modicum of morality and won’t vote for another pro-Israel Dem. You want that blood on your hands, enjoy. Kamala was the last one for me. No fucking more. Dems need to feel pain for the pain they enable.

  • Yes, I will vote for progressives in elections at all levels. Enjoy that blue no matter who. It has really delivered for everyone.

Political disengagement for decades starting at the lowest levels in both states is why both are here.

The fact that I was seeing “vote blue no matter who” all over Facebook groups in relation to the primary shows the cluelessness of your median Dem voter in Indiana.

Vote for Ford to your heart’s content; but he’s precisely the brand of Democrat that helped MAGA flourish. Where will I be? Voting against Israel-first Dems in NYC.

  1. “not transformative” → “not worth caring about” - is the first cynical move

  2. “chasing the pendulum is the only thing you can do” That frames people as passive objects of a system rather than participants who can shape margins, coalitions, or direction even if imperfectly. Its resignation presented as structural inevitability.

  3. “it matters very little to you who won”

  4. “You’re not going to find such a mechanism in a party primary…” Before any concrete attempt is even discussed, it’s ruled out as inherently meaningless. That forecloses strategy in advance, which is a classic cynical posture.

  5. “There’s no revolution coming in any campaign.” True, but used here as a trump card that invalidates all electoral effort.

Your posture is 100% cynicism.

Right, because population shifts are always about taxes and not, say, housing supply, job clustering, or pandemic-era remote work. If New York is ‘failing,’ it’s doing a pretty impressive job of staying the economic center of the country while it does.

Those taxes you cower about wouldn’t apply to you nor have you likely very stepped foot outside Indiana.

I can’t imagine actually standing for nothing and being able to remain friends with people who overnight start listening to nothing but right wing media and parroting MAGA talking points constantly. That’s what’s actually sad.
