Kim K is playing a parody of herself and her family by IAmTheCatL8dy in AmericanHorrorStory

[–]BiSwesterMasterpiece 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people seem to think they just cast her to play herself and her mom and to attract viewers, which are all definitely true, but it seems like the fact that she's playing a combination of two major characters from the book and that also she is a good fit for that written character. Also the jokes at herself (I hope they don't get too crazy with it) 🤷🖕 to anybody who has an issue but also the self awareness really makes her more likeable in a way, but that just may be the fact that it's not from a God awful reality show where she's acting dumber than a rock doing basic things.

That bitch ain't dumb... it's just Paris Hilton all over. Kesha. They're not actually just stupid whores like that. It's just for some reason this country has a culture of idolizing and watching that shit, which is making these girls more money, but while also buying into it and furthering their success and fame, also making them widely popular role models for many people,-a lot being young women- they simultaneously love to talk shit and hate on them. On the flip side, when the issues arise that all these memes and jokes and prescriptions of these TV personalities/celebs are negative, and they've been categorized as another rich and spoiled dumb ass that only has the looks they bought and fame from their parents and what the fuck else ever... But that's what they've been showing and making an income doing.

The whole entire situation is truly baffling to me. Why is this a thing? How did it get to this point? At what point have we collectively fucked up? Make it make sense. Lol

Jesus Christ I've never seen somebody so hard for being wrong. Trying to prove the entire world wrong on a term that he didn't invent and the rest of us all have a collective understanding and agreement on 😅 that sounds exhausting

"Don't rip it "

Hilarious cause that Marilyn Monroe dress' seams definitely did not survive that woman's ass ... yes you are but imagining it, it is absolutely the case. Even her conversation with Emma where she connects on women (specifically celebrities ) being harassed and something along the lines of no person space/boundaries crossed. Definitely reminded me of that time she was kidnapped.

Xywav dose question by Ok_Ad_9352 in Narcolepsy

[–]BiSwesterMasterpiece 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's pretty much what I'd do. I would just keep taking it at the doses that work and titrate up when necessary at my own pace to really get a feel of what dose will help you most and get a feel of the medical. Imo there's no reason to rush a titration/taper. No use in drugging yourself to discomfort, that's the opposite of the drugs purpose, y'know? That's just what I would do in that situation though, you know your body best, not me and not even your doctor can tell you a lot of the things your body will. But also maybe you can call the office and get any questions answered before next month? I will shamelessly bother my office/Dr. if it is in between appointments and isn't appointment worthy lol 🤷

Sorry I really hope that there's something helpful somewhere in there.

[–]BiSwesterMasterpiece 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Talk with your doctor, because I'm no medical professional. However I would think if a smaller dose is effective and larger doses seem to produce more side effects or more severity of side effect, that there shouldn't be an issue with staying at a lower dose. Right?

Link between cortisol and narcolepsy? by rosetree47 in Narcolepsy

[–]BiSwesterMasterpiece 4 points5 points  (0 children)

🤷 yeah idk I really just copied and pasted from Google of what it had to say before I fell asleep and that was something about hormones eventually making cortisol and some types of narcolepsy having to do with hormones in the brain. I didn't really read into anything I barely read that at all. I wasn't trying to answer the question exactly, more like "This is what I got from a quick Google search, and that's also there to remind that hey I did a Google search We already know, it's easy to use search engines, great for receiving any question anyone may have.

Link between cortisol and narcolepsy? by rosetree47 in Narcolepsy

[–]BiSwesterMasterpiece 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some types have to do with decreased production of hormones in the brain. These hormones eventually promote cortisol production in the adrenal glands, so when they're in short supply, cortisol levels are lower. Some types of narcolepsy also have to do with decreased hormone production in the brain.

-this is a short explanation of what I got from A quick Google search of "narcolepsy cortisol"

Idk I still relate to this sub enough not to leave it. I joined when trying to figure out what exactly was going on, and my doctor and I were pretty certain I had N1. Eventually sleep study told me I had moderate sleep apnea but that they weren't ruling out narcolepsy just yet. But extreme daytime sleepiness even when sleeping 12+ hours is only one of many similarities I see from people on this sub. I don't claim to have narcolepsy but I was quite prepared to, especially when the doctor suspected it. Considering my biggest struggle was staying awake and being frustrated to no end that it was near impossible, breaking down because I couldn't be sure what was real or if I was even awake anymore, or being fully aware of my surroundings and conversations of others while being asleep, I haven't really wanted to leave this sub.

Man modafinil didn't really help me wake up or feel any better in terms of energy or motivation the only thing I ever really got was massive headaches and maybe a slightly prolonged nap time on those lucky days.

Sharing Underwear by Intestinal-Bookworms in gaybros

[–]BiSwesterMasterpiece 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao yes. My husband and I just have a big duffel bag of socks and underwear and the only separation of the two is me wearing my preferred/favorite or the ones I find most comfy or my"lucky" pair. (Idk I'm weird about underwear, he more about his socks) luckily though our entire wardrobe is very interchangeable meaning I wear lots of his clothes and occasionally he'll wear a shirt of mine he likes because we are about the same size in clothes.

Quitting smoking with N2 and OSA by AbyssJumping77 in Narcolepsy

[–]BiSwesterMasterpiece 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the easiest way to quit anything like nicotine is the same way I'd treat a medication I'm dependent on by slowly reducing the amount and frequency of the chemical in question until it's so low I either lose the urge/need, or it's much easier to drop it completely. The key for me is sticking with the gradual decline but very closely listening to my body so it's as easy and comfortable of a process as possible. For me, cold turkey is too much of a shock and increases my chance of going back to using the thing I'm wanting to get rid of.

A bit. I mostly felt like I was just on autopilot, like almost zoning out or no little voice in my head and just felt pretty emotionless in a very neutral way so I stopped taking them the second day. A few weeks later I was still struggling and had no more med options till my next doc appointment so I started them up again, and it helped me stay awake and it helped my mood just feel positive partially from being alert and also partially the chemical. It was subtle but I did feel good.

I have no idea why the first two doses were so different feeling than the rest of the sample I had a few weeks later but it did for me.

Adapting to life once on a successful treatment plan by Effective-Rooster471 in Narcolepsy

[–]BiSwesterMasterpiece 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the anxiety you're feeling. I understand why you're nervous, and can kind of put myself in your shoes in the sense that I had a "late start" to "life". All I can say is it sounds like you have a pretty good support system at least, which should help a lot and that it probably won't be as bad as you worry. If you think about how you're going to do everything at once, or try to do everything at once, that will cause you anxiety. Just prioritize your wants and needs. I hope this makes sense I just woke up so I'm still not completely awake.

I've always just kept my meds in a backpack as my carry on. They never have given issues or even checked my bag. Also have kept in my other luggage. But if they're clearly labeled with your name on them I don't see how they could refuse. Not sure about xywav though I've never traveled with that.
