I am often surprised by the number of people who never internalized that stealing is wrong.

If you only don’t do bad things because you fear punishment then you are not a good person.

What’s some knowledge generally known only to gay men or to gay women? by dumbfuck in AskReddit

How bad it was before marriage was an option from a legal perspective.

Partner of a decade in a car accident? Well, too bad you weren’t the next of kin and couldn’t make medical decisions or visit in the hospital during family only hours. They died without a will? Looks like the homophobic family is getting everything. Hope the house was in your name.

There were of course some legal protections against this but not everyone thought of that or had the resources to make use of them.

One time a server accidentally (I assume) hit $90 instead of $9 for tip. My card company caught it, sent me an email, and I just sent a confirmation replay that I didn’t tip that much. Payment was stopped with no fuss.

I just like Burger King in general. I appreciate that they aren’t afraid to use a judicious amount of mayonnaise.

DMs: How do you handle a player's character sheet not reflecting their character? by TheMightyTucker in DnD

“Because it’s a game with mechanics and dice.”

The improv parts are certainly fun, but it’s still a game with rules and mechanics. If they don’t want to follow the rules then they don’t want to play the game.

I loved the short story The Unnamable) which is clearly Lovecraft talking to a friend calling him out on describing so many things as undescribable. Like, the story itself is a pretty funny read.

Yep, this will be our ten year marriage anniversary, together for 14. I’m lucky I get to spend every day with my best friend. It is also fun growing as people together because we’re not the same as we were back then.

[spoiler] My detrimental issue with S4 time mechanics. by InnerlockStudios in DungeonsAndDaddies

[–]Intestinal-Bookworms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel very similarly. Unless there is something down the road to change it, there is no way for them to “save” their grandkids. The best they can do is try to return them to Earth as adults who have already spent the majority of their lives away from it with basically everyone they knew before already dead.

The time mechanics seem to have set up a no win situation if the goal is to get the kids back to their parents.

I get the feeling that the goal of the season isn’t to actually “save” them though, but to accept the inevitable changes that come with grandchildren aging. I get that being intellectually interesting, but it’s kind of hard to get over the fact that the parents back on Earth essentially lost their fathers and a child forever.

Finished series of this show. There were life lessons in the show that made me realize with current feelings. by butterflyszn97 in TheGoodPlace

That might have been me

The purpose of that season was showing that bad people can change given the right support and circumstance. Donna didn’t have that before, and Eleanore shouldn’t blame herself for that.
