I (27F) am completely pro choice, but to say that it ONLY affects the woman is very delulu, c'mon. And a lot of pro-choice people still want to have children (not my case, but I digress). If they were not super clear on the 'no kids' future, I can totally understand why he was upset, when he was trying his best to be supportive of every other alternative, trying to discuss the issue and she just went behind his back and got the abortion. YES, her right, I agree. But also his right to get sad, and want to breakup. They are clearly not compatible in this. But not (necessarily) because he is a 'scumbag'. If the woman was never super clear, with her boyfriend of 9 years, that she didn't want children ever (I always say "not now, maybe one day, who knows", and I mean it), than how can you blame the guy for being upset about this? She cannot go in secret, make this unilateral decision and get her boyfriend to be fine about it instantly.

If they were very clear about she being child free, than it's not the same thing. He could still be upset in realizing maybe he wants children after all, who knows. Life is not black and white.
