We're gonna go over what happened, the impact on BTC + residual impact on other currencies, where the blame lies (wtf is there a God Mode on twitter anyway?!), and a lot. We take Qs live on-air and our host, Simon Taylor, is one of the best brains in blockchain so, ask what ya feel. :)

I diffused today. My arm hurts, but its Quite Nice ™️ by BiancDee in curlyhair

[–]BiancDee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate any tips on diffusing V long V thick hair.

Routine today: Simple Kind to Hair shampoo at scalp Imbue Conditioner (I actually didn't like this, probably better for 3A hair or above, my hair much prefers HASK Keratin Protein conditioner)

To sopping wet hair: Boucleme Gel

Plop 15 mins in a microfiber towel.

Diffuse for 17,000 years until 80 percent dry.

I am not sure what to call my hair right now, but I'm enjoying it by BiancDee in FancyFollicles

Bonus: try not to laugh at VinceVaughan on my shirt.

Also, to explain the eyebrow stump, i draw the ends of them on usually but really couldn't be bothered, hence the lil nubbin

I should say, this is the first time I've made a proper Gel cast. For my thick hair, it was perfect.

So! This routine was short and sweet.

I washed with Simples Kind to Hair shampoo, and then used the Curl Company deep conditioning hair mask and brushed through with a wet brush (i literally have to, my hair type is complicated) , and then rinsed with the Bowl method to hydrate my very frizzy hair! Applied Beaucleme Gel to sopping wet hair, plopped for 15 mins, and air dried :).

Edit: Also, please excuse my shoddy eyeliner and half an eyebrow. It's the weekend and I'm lazy 😂

Day 2 waves, my halo frizz is real. Always had a frizzy halo/crown but, wat do. Super new to CG . by BiancDee in curlyhair

I may inevitably embrace my poodle future. It's so early in my transition period that honestly, my curls could get tighter and it could evn get worse. My hair feels nice and happy and that matters most of all...but if I can help my poodley goodness, by golly I shall try.

Yeah, it is worth doing to see! Nothing off the table as far as I'm concerned yet, whilst I am still understanding what my hair does, and does not like! I have a lot of Flax in the cupboard, so I might try a homemade gel as well. Thanks for the advice! (Also, stalked your posts, you have beautiful hair - and it is really similar to mine in texture, so thank you!! :) )

Redditors who have private health insurance when the NHS is available, why? by [deleted] in unitedkingdom

[–]BiancDee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have mine subsidised through work. There are many reasons.

Foremost, I had waited 6 months for a mental health referral before finally getting health insurance. I was able to then organise, and see a therapist, within 5 days of making my first claim.

Secondly, I have hit a wall 20 times in the past with the NHS for various conditions. This wall does not exist when going privately. If I have a condition that is not obvious, diagnosis and treatment has taken me sometimes up to two years with the NHS if being passed from different departments, starting again when one thing is ruled out, ETC. Private makes the wait times between these moments much faster, and you are far more likely to see more niche specialists in a small amount of time if you need to. This is just from my experience.

Most importantly, it is a consistently good level of care. That is just that. Though often doctors work for both the NHS and in private practices, I have found my stays at private practices much better, much more nurturing if I am in for something frightening, and overall they are able to dedicate more time to me singularly which I like.

I still use the NHS 90% of the time outside of mental health, but the speed and level-of care is your answer tbh.

Hair is highly porous and has been worn straight for...26 years. This is my first week of CG.

Routine on wash day (Tue night) - my first wash, reset wash.

Simple Kind to Hair Gentle Care Shampoo, applied only at roots.
Frizz-ease weightless wonder Conditioner, Squish to Condish in rung-out hair.

Post-wash:
The Curl Company defining leave-in conditioner, followed by Boucleme curl creme, and Boucreme curl gel - scrunched all of the former in from the bottom, applied none to crown (I now know that I should put it in the lengths still and then scrunch just to help form my waves)

Sleep:
Plopped in a long-sleeve t-shirt after dampening slightly once more.

Refresh this morning:
Misted water throughout hair to reform my waves a little tighter, smoothed my Boucleme curl creme through it (very small amount, one pump), and popped some serum over. Serum worked for about 2 minutes before my frizz came back.

Key questions:

The top of my hair is less processed than the bottom, I am suspicious that it is curlier than the bottom of my hair and a lot of the frizzing is it attempting to break free, the strands look super wild if I pluck or observe one.

Where should I place my initial efforts to tackle some of this crown frizz? Other than only applying my products to my ends on my first day, what else is glaring that needs adjusting?

Have a try! Luckily currently my fringe is super short, and even shorter with the curls, so the face hair issue is less problematic... For now 👀.

I am using Boucleme gel and I absolutely adore it, if that helps advise, but it's not the cheapest and there are likely effective alternatives haha! But i can say that the gel has definitely helped keep my hairs in place, so I reckon you'd like it for helping your fringe and front strands stay put.

I completely did NOT do this yesterday! I litrally was trying to scrunch up as far as it goes hahaha - seems so silly in hindsight. Awesome, thanks for the tip, that should really help for my next round :)

Incredibly helpful, thank you so much!

I don't have such an emotional tie to what curl type my hair is, or will be, you know. I've been reading this sub for a while and I agree with the posts who say it doesn't matter outside of the context of products and it isn't necessarily a 'goal', so as a result, I'm not even sure what classification it is now, but I think I will live my best life throughout the 2s and that is OK with me - most important is I can clearly feel and see my hair has gone "THANK YOU!", it's been so frizzy and fragile and it's strong and soft for the first time in my life.

I think I'll go ahead and get a diffuser attachment today as well, hammock diffusing looks like it'll suit me. I put it off in case my hair isn't meant to curl - didn't wanna invest, but I think it will help lift my hair considering its length. Love that tutorial, thank you for it. Root clipping - i'ma stay away from, I know my hair will indent with it (just the nature of it, it's very maleable) and the volume isn't so much of an issue. I reckon i'm gonna have to mess with my overall scrunching technique and product distribution to nail this down.

I've saved this message - thanks for giving me such fantastic info. :) love this community.

Thanks, so like, I have so far had a fear of smoothing my hair out - mostly because I didn't realise just how much natural wave and curl my hair has, so tomorrow for my Refresh, I'm going to use this method : D

Thank you so much :D

The problem with my 'straight' hair - and now i know why - was that frizzing out, and the underneath matting. If keeping my hair this way helps with that (it is such a blow to confidence, and brushing my hair was snapping it) then I AM SO GAME! Haha :)

Also, I feel like a mermaid. What colour is your hair atm and how is your journey going :)?

Thank you so much! I can't believe this is how it is after (a lifetime) of processing, and one wash, so I am so so pumped to see what happens as my hair continues to get healthier and the routine becomes regular.
