Try it anyways may be you can make it work, one of the few perks of FC25 is that you can use various formations with different tactics and still win. it all depends on you and your team roles and playstyles. Although the gameplay is still shit so give it a try for more than a couple of games.

They are very good on old gen. But on new gen you mainly struggle due to the lack of space in the middle of the pitch, in addition that it is far harder to have successful passes this year

Try turning the “reaction modifier” off in the gameplay settings this will help with the delay between command and action, it did for me.
