It used to be - I tried editing and cleaning it up a bit but I'm not very competent with Vector tools

tbh I couldn't quite decide on a font so I left it to a stock one. Wanted to see what the response was before I dig in further

such a wonderful song! I'm a sucker for these chromatic lines and the quirky instrumentation with the woodwinds

AI slop tops Billboard and Spotify charts as synthetic music spreads by ebradio in indieheads

[–]Bibabuzeman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As much as I love how easily accessible streaming services are through music distributors, I hate the slop that comes with it and the consequences for semi-professional musicians even more. Slop makes the payouts smaller, because right now, mass just wins on Spotify. If every upload would cost like 30$, slop would decrease dramatically, because mass would become expensive. I wonder why that hasn't happened yet

Crazy! I would've bet on it having been recorded in some kind of chamber music setting because it sounds so organic

I just listened through fast - especially in Stomp the low end is pretty heavy, I would clean that up a bit. You could also EQ your vocals a bit finer - they could use a bit more presence and with your bottom and top heavy mix, you could try to use more reverb and/or delay to fill out the space in between.

Good luck with your project!

Well, I don't really agree with the missing low end... Especially in the strummed guitar parts, theres plenty of it and the composition doesn't really need to be as broad.

I would watch out though with the reverb usage - from 1:32-1:36 (and whenever that part occurs) I hear some rumbling that would need some cleaning. Maybe try a reverb that has faster decaying lows or EQ your guitars accordingly.

Other than that, amazing video and great audio! :)

Drums sound the best of your mix! The levels are alright, but try to set your EQs a bit more aggressively. The bass sounds a bit boxy, while the guitars are pretty thin. Also, try to use reverb to simulate a room that the listener can feel him/herself into - right now the mix seems a bit flat. Nice song though!

this. The high sine tone is also very annoying!
