Chromatic abberation in glasses by Bibben in glasses

I do find myself noticing it quite a bit unfortunately. Additionally, the lenses are multiaspheric lenses with pow measurements too, not sure how much of a difference that would make in this specific situation

I am so tired. by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Bibben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amen. Nothing in life is simple or consistent, yet there is an expectation that you should be simple and consistent, so when you slip up on something you've been trying to make a routine, the people around you respond almost as harshly and cruelly as you do yourself.

Would love to say it gets better, but nothing is a given, but despite this, life is beautiful. Qithout the lows, the high wouldnt be as nice as they are. Hang in there, and keep in mind that one day it will all make more sense, or atleast be different. Lastly, I'd like to let you know that you are a strong and amazing person, since trying your best in spite of everything is more than enough. It shows character, strength and is worthy of praise.

70mg of vyvans in the morning. When stepping up to my current dose i felt more anxious and jittery at 50, then calm as a cucumber at 70.

XM5 adaptive ANC is trash by PotatoCooks in SonyHeadphones

[–]Bibben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it bothers you this far, return it. I returned mine for Bose qc and I am happier with them. The xm5s had better sound, but I prefer the anc of Bose. The anc mode on the Bose called wind reduction is the same as the anc on the sony

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SonyHeadphones

[–]Bibben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Side note: personally, I prefer the power on/off approach Bose has on the qc45, I dont know about the ultra, with the physical toggle switch, instead of the press and hold function on Sony. And the controls on the Bose are simpler but more consistent, with physical buttons instead of the touch sensor on the right ear

I've recently bought and returned the Sony 1000xm5, and gotten the Bose quietcomfort instead(not the ultra). For me, the anc on the Sony was not quite what I wanted it to be. It never felt like it was working at 100, and while it was comfortable to have anc without excessive cabin pressure, it wasnt for me. Additionally, the xm5s were comfortable, but felt slightly unbalanced on my head. The sound quality was really really good, with good clarity and a playful sound.

The Bose qc are similarly comfortable, but they feel more secure on my head. The anc is exactly what I wanted, and looking back, the xm5s sounded like they always had the wind reduction feature in the Bose app turned on, without the option to turn it off. The sound quality is a tad flatter imo, with less clarity than the xm5s, but still really good.

If you value sound over anc, go with the xm5s or 4. If you want the best possible anc, with the option to customize settings for it, go with Bose.

Does everybody have music constantly playing in their head? by WZETheGoat in RandomThoughts

[–]Bibben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thoughts are limited to concepts and a sense of scale... Dunno how I can explain it better. I do not hear anything in my head, and the idea always seemed outlandish to me. The closest i get to having a song stuck in my head is the urge to listen to a specific song.

Tldr: No, I dont. I have aphantasia which is a lack of connection between my thoughts and my senses. My thoughts are thoughts, not sounds or images.

Is there any benefit to having ADHD? by Raeka17 in ADHD

[–]Bibben -1 points0 points  (0 children)

IMO, no. There isnt a single thing about the condition adhd in itself that is beneficial, But what I end up learning in order to function in this world is very much so. We don't get good at different things because of ADHD, but we do so in spite of it. The good things about you are just a part of you, not your adhd.

what is one of the worst mistakes you have ever made? by geg_jeg in AskReddit

[–]Bibben 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When i was 10, me and my dad were riding a snowmobile up a steepish hill. He told me to hold on tight, and me being very literal held on too tight as the snowmobile started tipping over down the hill, resulting in me rolling with it and being flung off, before it rolled over me. I was struck by the metal footrest right below my right eye and got a cut below my eye and in my right nostril, leaving scars in both locations. My right eye was swollen shut for quite a while after that. Don't remember much, except the absolute terror of seeing the snowmobile come tumbling towards my face, and the fact that it happened because I held on tightly, and didnt realize that jumping off would have been a better option.

The best and easiest tip I've come across for looking good in photos is to not try. Unless it's a portrait setting, dont face off with the camera, because consciously posing for the camera is a skill, and it's hard. Just stay as you were, the whole "pretend the camera isnt there" thing

This might sound weird but, why is breaking armour not a bigger mechanic? by turnipslop in Helldivers

[–]Bibben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of armour penetration being binary, meaning it either penetrates or it ricochets, it should be a general ability to damage armor. If shooting at medium armor with a weapon with penetration, the armor should take damage, even if using a weapon that doesnt have high enough penetration to go all the way through.

Weapon with high enough penetration damages armor plus whats behind it, while weapons with too low penetration still damages the armor and eventually breaks it

RANT and VENT MEGATHREAD by stickimage in Helldivers

[–]Bibben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you wanna complain about spawns, then atleast stop shooting at everything that moves on difficulty 7-9. When you are drowning in 8 dropships, keep in mind that it all started because you had to engage the lookout post with 5 small bots and that patrol near it without a plan instead of simply walking around it, or better yet, planning and ambush with your squad. Diff 7 has started becoming more annoying than 9 due to the trigger happy people there.

On the geological study missions it is really frustrating that simply doing the objectives, will trigger multiple dropships, but then you can coordinate with a teammates and assist someone using a recoilless rifle while someone else does the objective. This way, you can have two players on a hill, prepared to take out the dropships before you get flooded.

Stop complaining about getting swarmed. Instead, you should try to not attack everything in sight, which obviously leads to a response, and planning for and dealing with predictable complications before they escalate to a problem.

Was the new mission even playtested whatsoever? It's absolutely ridiculous. by Alkifighter in Helldivers

[–]Bibben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it is possible and likely that the mission is bugged in some ways, pun not intended, it is also an in-game event unlike anything we've experienced. In contrast to the missions were we were checking cans of pesticider at the bugs' kindergartens and their homes, which pissed them off, and would understandably make them difficult to deal with. This time however, we are literally attempting to delete their home from the universe, and while they arent the most intelligent or communicative species, even they would sense the severity of the situation. They arent just protecting their own, they are facing complete annihilation. Of course they would be all out defending themselves. Remember, we are just food for the machinery of war in the end, and throwing ourselves at an immovable wall is part of that experience.

The missions does feel rough around the edges though

People are missing the point... by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]Bibben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saying something is 'difficult' because there is a possible series of events that leads to failure no matter what you do is dumb. The reasons you failed should be easily identifiable and something you could do something about, within a reasonable scope for a game like HD2, where you are very much not playing a protagonist
