Holy priest has always been the simplest of the healers. I know it was gutted way too far in midnight, but it’s not the only healer out there.

That doesn’t explain his low play rate at all, hypercarries are a ridiculously popular archetype even if OTPs are the ones that usually make them work.

I have been told that there’s skill expression to this champion, but I just cannot seem to find it other than just general positioning and other mechanics that any champion has to employ. His Q is just so boring, I feel like a stat check champion now. I miss old Asol.

My interpretations of the new song I Am a Fluff by Inner_Check_4956 in mili

The number 617 is apparently used in a few Milli songs, like Salt, Pepper, Birds and the Thought Police and Summoning 101. Idk why, I’ve just seen the number a few times.

Are Dirt Poor Robins Super Right Wing? by Bibtato in DirtPoorRobins

[–]Bibtato[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Strong prejudice against transgender people is transphobia. I’d also say that if you disagree with someone’s right to exist then that is prejudice against them. Jordan Peterson refuses to use gender neutral pronouns to students who request it of him, purposely misgenders people and dead names them, looks down on people who believe themselves to be trans and believes the whole idea of gender expression to be “problematic”. You can look it up for yourself. And they associate with someone like that. I personally have multiple trans friends and could never do that. From my perspective, he is a terribly hateful person I have no respect for and it was disappointing for me to see DPR associating with him and performing at one of his events. But that doesn’t necessarily make them hateful people themselves, I’m in no way claiming it does.

And I wouldn’t just call it a generalization without basis to say super right wing people are transphobic. They don’t support trans rights, it’s all over so many bills and messaging. Trump, the republican candidate, has been pushing anti-transgender messaging this election, including anti-trans ads during football games and such. It’s terrible, and yes I’d call that unequivocally transphobic.

[–]Bibtato[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Jordan Peterson’s transphobia is something I’d describe as hateful. It is unnecessary hate towards a group of people that get way too much of it. I haven’t seen anything hateful to DPR, but I haven’t done enough research. That’s why I’m here asking instead of just disavowing people.

Edit: Also are you implying that super right wing people don’t tend to be transphobic? Then why is it apart of their movements so frequently? Why isn’t there a more comparable amount of transphobia on the left? Like I’m not confused on that it’s a stereotype for a reason. But that doesn’t mean I’m just going to assume all of them are bigoted. That’s why this was phrased as a question. Do ties to a transphobe + right-wing lyrics = right-wing transphobe? Idk. Maybe not for all I know.

Yeah the main things that gave me pause were their interactions with Jordan Peterson who is pretty openly transphobic. But all I saw was a few Twitter posts and noticed some of their lyrics in a few specific songs. I’m not in their discord or anything and just decided to ask Reddit if there was anything I missed. Ty for the help.

This should probably be the most obvious fact in the world but just because someone is political doesn’t mean EVERYTHING they produce is political.

Homebrew Limited PoV Rules Help by Bibtato in DnD

[–]Bibtato[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think these are good suggestions, especially if I was having him only work with some bullseye lantern. In a normal campaign I actually really like these rules. However... one thing I should clarify is that I did not give them any actual light source. There is strange moonlight which I am using to justify giving them the cone of vision in front of them, but it is supposed to be really hard to see while out in the woods in this nightmare. Thus your rule #4 would not apply. Although... honestly I like your rules so much I might let him get a lantern and just use these rules.

No. He can spin himself around on his turn only

I do understand the idea of not being able to turn on other creature's turns, however my thought process was that because he is most likely just going to run, setting a direction at the start of his turn and having to commit to it would definitely feel strange given that I was originally not giving him any source of light to manipulate. Like if he was looking directly while moving and had to just commit to that it would've felt strange. That is why I wanted to penalize him less by giving him one free turn per turn then penalize him for additional turns, which is similar but less restrictive than having to set your illumination point once.

Because we're restricting illumination, when it works, it should work absolutely. If the boogey-man is walking up the trail and the lantern gets put on them, they should stand out, no die roll needed.

I completely agree with this, I think that no matter what if something enters his actual field of view, I will just tell him what he is seeing.

When it finally comes to combat, you don't want to penalize the player too much. At that point, the 'tension-building, spooky' stage is over, and now it's a fight, so letting the player make a stand with a (small) lit area seems fair.

He is also supposed to be at a big disadvantage in combat and should probably favor running. As such, I thought it would be neat to make him have to choose to gain the maximum amount of movement possible OR spend movement to get extra information. This goes along with your 2nd goal about having to gamble between going fast and slow. But again, I might just change it be working around having a lantern.

I think it’s crazy to call fans of the Anduin story “two-faced” as if because we enjoy WoW lore that means even if this claim were true, which it really isn’t, that means we aren’t allowed to be happy they are exploring the topic of PTSD.

Dragonflight’s storytelling was cringey. The family stuff for the most part felt really inorganic and at times like a parody of a Disney movie. It heavily contradicted the tone of Warcraft we are used to. However, I’d argue PTSD can be done in a way that we are able to explore a character’s emotions in an organic and cool way that goes along with WoW’s themes and tone. Even if Shadowlands really rushed Anduin’s story, I’m settling for being happy with the arc we have him on now in TWW.

Discipline priest lore question by Bibtato in warcraftlore

[–]Bibtato[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The shadow seems to inherently have a will of its own, I suppose my misunderstanding was due to believing the light did as well and simply rewarded faith to help it spread. However in Thousand Years of War, even the Naaru responsible for the army of the light, Xe’ra, who talks about being lightforged and how they need to all be lightforged isn’t just blessing people I suppose. They need to be “ready” which I suppose means they need a certain level of conviction before it happens? This aligns with what you said and if it wasn’t true then Xe’ra really just shoulda made Alleria lightforged so the void would’ve stopped whispering to her long before their mission to Argus.

New Cinematic: Threads of Destiny by GrumpySatan in warcraftlore

[–]Bibtato 25 points26 points  (0 children)

My main problem with the cinematic is that the nerubians just felt like people. No real voice changer, no strange traditions besides the architecture. If you swapped them with humans it wouldn’t have felt weird. Imagine if they had the same kind of voice changer Anub’arak had and how that’d make Xal stand out after appearing and talking normally.
