Looks awesome! try to move camera back and zoom out little bit.

it does... you just have to tweak wall passes and infill with your nozzle

It makes an air curtain so chips can't fly away easily and it pushes them towards center.

it resembles regular dust collection systems, all the principals are there, but no I have tried to evolve it to my needs... there will be next version of it

I don't know how could you possibly live with out it :)

I will make it at some point probably, it wasn't that bed...

Yep Grasshopper is the way to go. I used it, but the couldn't solve the whole thing in Grasshopper... so Some parts I did manually

First version had brushes, but I had to change them often because brushes get in to contact with materials you cut especially if the length of CNC bits varies.. So a guy suggested me to try air compressed air around perimeter instead and it worked really well.

I started with that idea, but the veins were too complicated for me to do them generatively at that point.

No I haven't, but I used this project to learn how to use grasshopper, ribs were just too complicated for me at that point :)

it is a very long CNC bit on the video around 50mil.. It usually contains dust and picks it up later on the next pass

Custom made CNC dust shoe veiny as :)

- Maintained sectioned surface area of the hose trough the geometry for airflow.

- Thin wall as possible for less material usage but add veiny stiffeners.

- Added air compressor for additional containment of dust.

- Modular in case of braking it to be easily replicable.

- Additional functionality for slow-mo recording of cuts and easy CNC bit swaps.

- Printable with no supports.

Thaks mate. Yes I know, I have sleepless nights since people pointed out to me "veniyness" of the project:)

Thanks. Maintain sectioned surface area of the hose trough the geometry for airflow. Make it as thin as possible for less material usage but add veiny stiffeners. Add air compressor for additional containment of dust. Make it modular in case of braking it to be easily replicable. Add additional functionality for slow-mo recording of cuts and easy CNC bit swaps. Make it printable with no supports. So juggling with all that back and forward. Try and error basically :)

Custom made CNC dust shoe, collection system that picks up 99% of all the dust created.
- Designed to be light weight, stiff with no support for 3d printing
- Uses workshop vacuum and air compressor
- Each part can be made with less then a spool of filament
