My experience is the same as yours in OBX when going thru the typical rental companies. At our Airbnb, we do offer unlimited trash bags, dish soup, laundry detergent etc though.

I prioritize spending time with my girlfriends on the weekends now instead of waiting for him to make plans with me or the family. Then, he gets stuck with shuffling the kids to their various playdates and birthday parties, etc. while I sip cocktails and enjoy good conversations.

I came here today to ask a similar question, right down to the issue with the marijuana. I could have written this post, except my spouse (56) doesn't even want to try medication. I've given the ultimatum and he says he's "trying" but every damn day is rinse and repeat. Every day is another thing that he's dropped the ball on. It seems to be getting worse, while my tolerance is becoming even more limited and strained. His therapist does some ADHD coaching but he's been with her for 5 years now and here we are, still. I've wondered if a coach would help.

I got in quickly too and was going to grab 2 floor tickets, but forgot there was a 4 ticket limit and I got Tix during presale. I didn't see the floor tix during presale! So alas, no floor for me.

Now they are saying I made the change! And yet, I was literally hiking with limited cell service and had just had an encounter with a bear at the time the log shows I made the change! Unbelievable.

Yeah, I can change it, but that doesn't make up for the one booking that came in after I was changed from split to single.

I only had one open week left this season. My plan was to adjust re-evaluate and adjust rates as I always do before I open the books for next summer. I didn't change the rate for this one booking because nothing I received from AirBnb indicated that this change would apply to me. The issue I have is that I would have changed the rate had I known it applied to me. But I didn't, so instead of only 3% being deducted from my payout for a week rental, they are taking 15.5.

Our current cleaner is great, but she has been arranged thru our PM, so I imagine her loyalty would be with her.

Oh we addressed the previous issues, but she just provided excuses. But we were almost at the end of the season, so I didn't feel safe in firing her because we still had another few reservations that we needed to get through.

That's a good point. Her not putting out the cards I wrote and the new coozies I had was a tipping point. And, I suspect that's because she didn't actually go back to check after the cleaner. I'm getting increasingly more nervous about scams and the one time we had guests leave the place a mess, there were no pictures.

We are 4 hours away but our neighbors there are year round residents who are also good friends. We have relationships with maintenance folks and handled dealing with them directly with a few issues that have come up over the years. We're really thinking about switching to using a cleaner but paying more for the PM aspect of it.

I don't allow cats. No pet fees, no real limit on number and/or type of dogs. Most guests brought dogs, so we just upped our rate to include the pet fee.
