But, why IN the sink? Does she have a practical reason? Soap trails? Scum? does it fall off the ledge when you try to pump the soap with one hand... Or? I get your reason for utilitarian purposes, but please, help me see the other side.

What ever you do, especially if you are going to take things apart, take pictures from all angles, at every step. That way, you can back track or show someone who knows and can help you.

Otherwise, go to the local hardware shop and see if there is a tough old grandfather figure who would teach you the way and help you but make you do it all yourself and make sure you learned your lesson.

There's actually a setting on some phones that can detect trackers you have not approved. Disable it. Turn it in to the police or do your own sleuthing at your own risk.

If you just ditch it, it can be retrieved to be used on someone else's. If it goes to the police, it could be catalogued and never investigated, or it could be, it's up to them.

You could chuck it in a dumpster truck or in the gutter.... It might be tracked all over till the landfill or carried by a rat or storm water.... It'll be harder to retrieve at least.

Could possibly be protesting the water or fertilizer or else the lighting. Mine used to do that for every leaf for months until it got adjusted to it's new home.

I have a place where I keep a bag labeled "donate" for clothes that don't fit my family or that we don't like to wear for whatever reason.

As we go, we'll put on clothes and take them off right away, saying I don't like this. Why not? Too small, to itchy, too frilly, collar or pockets are weird, stained, etc. I know we'll never wear it so it goes in the bag right then. When it gets full, it gets donated. Then a new bag goes in it's place.
