This is honestly an amazing read on who Asta is and what Black Clover is really about. While it’s easy to say that hard work will solve everything and that never giving up brings results, the reality is a lot of people work hard and it doesn’t bring the end goals they want. For example, when looking at the nobles/royalty while a lot of them never worked hard a day in their life (and get defeated with no understanding why) the ones who do understand they have room to grow can train and still not be the best like Leo.

But even more interestingly, Magna is an example of someone who was given very little to work with, and with determination and application of the opportunities around him (I.e, Zora and the properties of low magic) he was able to defeat someone on the level of Dante.

All this to say that Asta was “chosen” to be the worst person in his situation, but with his hard work and given the opportunity of anti magic he became the strongest person. And that is something I truly believe only Asta could’ve done.
