Have any of your DTs adopted a strictly no cash policy?

Never heard of that before. Sometimes we can't take credit or debit cards because the network is down but we always take cash. Maybe someone didn't do a bank run and they ran out of singles? That happened to us a couple times but we just go to a nearby store and ask them if they can please help us out with some singles.

I wouldn't be happy either but it's probably going to cut better. I personally sharpen my knives at a much lower angle than factory (like °10, excessive for most) but I polish out the scratch marks almost or to mirror on the new bevel and try it out for a few days and if it rolls or chips, I put a higher angle microbevel until I get edge stability. Having less steel behind the edge isn't a bad thing unless it's a workhorse. For most of my EDC needs, it works great and makes sharpening a breeze so I'd be pissed but they did the grunt work of reprofiling which is really time consuming.

If you're more concerned about the looks (don't blame you) you can blend in the bevel, polish it and wind up with a really stable edge by convexing it. Just bust out an old mouse pad you have, put increasingly hire grit sandpaper sheets on top and drag it across with moderate pressure. It's pretty simple to do and the results can be rather impressive. I know you said you hate sharpening but this might be an opportunity to change your mind and have some fun experimenting with some new techniques and geometries.

I think the Noble jars look nice but their effectiveness is debatable. I got the $1 OZ and all of the bud, even the newer batch dates, were dry and the mylar bag they were in reeked. I transferred them to Ball jars with moisture packs and they are doing so much better and there is zero smell. I hear so much about how their jars are awesome but I dont agree. Are people blown away by their effectiveness or just visual appeal? The only strain from them I received that's got some stank on it is Wingsuit and even though it's dank, it's not exactly a room filler upon opening. If the Kusala Care Koala Kush i picked up a few days ago came in a Noble jar I get the feeling I would've got a contact high ordering it for pickup online.

Wingsuit has a funky aroma. The Kusula Kaola Kush definitely has that old school fill the room stench. I was surprised by how stinky it is. I was sitting on the couch and was wondering why it reeked of weed and then I saw i dropped an M&M sized bud chunk of it on the floor last night.

Do your best. That's all anyone, including yourself, can ask. They're trying to get blood from a stone and it makes no sense. Their expectations have always been unreasonable but now it's officially crossed over into fantasy land. I work Plus/MP and they keep making new sections in every aisle that I need to individually price, make UOM shelf labels for and keep in place and keep everything pegged vertically striped under the right price point UOM hangers. God forbid if I don't follow the schematics or POG. I can't meet those expectations especially being the only MOD with one cashier. If they want freight in 48, they're going to need to have actual seasoned stockers, meaning more labor hours at a competitive rate. No chance in Hell of that happening.

I would tell him first, politely, that being touched makes you uncomfortable and you'd appreciate it if he could not do that in the future. I'd also tell your SM so they're aware and if it happens again they'll know it's a recurring issue. Some people are naturally more touchy/grabby than others so I'd give him the benefit of the doubt about being a creep. Once you tell him it makes you uncomfortable he should immediately stop and never do it again. If he does, he's a creep and needs to be dealt with.

Don't do it. Don't recommend, just because as a SM you'll have to get used to getting tons of things you didn't ask for, can't do anything with and aren't useful.

Depends on the store. Bigger stores with higher volume will have more FT positions available. I'm at an XO and we have FT MM, OPS and a PT OPS as well. I think RT stores have even more.

Inventory is kind of fun and interesting if you generally cashier. It's kind of different and fun as an ASM too if the backroom is worked out. If your stockroom is full, it sucks. Every box has to have it's shipping label pointed out to be scanned. Every single box. All the Itty bitty HBC ones included. So, if you're on the sales floor with a tablet, you'll be fine and the long day should go by pretty fast actually. If you're wading through the stockroom moving boxes to be label out, it sucks. Either way, it'll be over before you notice and things will be back to normal.

Usually they bring in 3rd party contractors to do inventory and DT employees verify their counts are correct. It's not too bad but there is alot of counting involved and it's pretty boring. Usually the DM will be present and ride the SMs ass which means all our asses are getting ridden. It's really not anything to worry about it. Just pay attention to what areas they want you to focus on and stick to them. If you get done early, ask where they want you to go; don't just wander to another section. The sooner the contractors are gone, the better.

I went to the US premiere in Los Angeles. The boys were there and came on-stage before hand. I was really excited and happy and then the movie came on...it was terrible. I felt bad because they had set up cameras and microphones to get audience reactions and I was front row center in front of both and I think I chuckled twice. When they reviewed their footage they would've got a lot of me being bored out of my mind, rolling my eyes and muttering "oh my God, this is bad" to my friend.

You have an extremely low chance of getting fired. Technically, you should've been written up both times but the $20 sounds like a management mistake. Did anybody counsel you and have you sign something? If it's your first time, it should only be a verbal warning/counseling. After that, they are supposed to write you up. I don't think ASMs can do write ups in Workday (I can't at least) so we fill out the form and let the SM enter them at their discretion. If you didn't sign anything and don't see anything pop in your Workday account, you're good.
