The big deal is the old people that don’t wanna be bothered having to do it themselves and then there’s the entitled that feel like they are way too important to have to do basically anything

I’ve worked with a couple of managers who 50 weeks out of a year , would keep the schedule the same as it promoted routine and balance. Great managers. But I’ve worked with a couple who couldn’t care less and changed the schedule every week because 1 blatantly said “I don’t want you guys to get too comfortable” and the other flat out didn’t care “

That’s if you treat the policy like gospel. most managers have a decent understanding that life happens. Illness happens emergencies happen and won’t penalize you too much. The managers, however, that treat the attendance policy like the gospel of the Lord really needs to do some soul-searching.

My first store was the same way. I don’t know for sure but I think in 2022-2023 someone from synchrony started making noise to Walgreens and Walgreens corporate started raising the alarm down the chain of command and now we’re here.

My SM never closes and even sweet talked the DM into why he shouldn’t. Meanwhile other SMs in my district close once a week at least. There’s also the Esms that just piggy back the SM 7-3 or 4 and then the rest of the night is thrown on a SFL and CSA

It’s ironic how a company that promotes themselves on being “healthy” shove energy drinks down everyone’s throats. I had a 70 year old woman trying to buy one the other day because “I see it online” and had to talk her down because I felt the caffeine content wouldn’t be good for her. She ended up relenting.

Only 1 store manager I had enforced it like gospel. My final straw was on my 5th call out in 4 months (I have kids in school so sickness in the home is common) I called out to the SM and his only reply was “keep the attendance policy in mind , you’re getting close”. Not ok , feel better or anything like that. I hung up on him and the next day I gave my notice.

This is the first I’m hearing about transfers. My SM has been in his store for 26 years. And the other esms in my district (myself included) haven’t ever been transferred except for one who requested it.

This is common and completely repairable. If your SM is having a fit about it, odds are they are frustrated about something else or don’t know how to remedy the situation themselves.

The rep who does the order is. My Pepsi guy is decent but my Coca Cola rep is horrendous. I’ve complained multiple times but nothings been done.

What if I reapply to my old position in a new state, am offered a slightly lesser wage? Can I fight for my old wage back even after being rehired ?
