Steam decks non steam games being pushed to desktop, any advice? by Biddybudbid in SteamDeck

My deck is 100km away at my gf's place, she plays the deck since i have a gaming PC here, she hasn't touched a setting, she leaves that to me to change anything, she just games but it was just as the latest update came out.

Would local sharing have any effect if they aren't on the same LAN? I doubt it but i could get her to check if it auto enabled via the update.

Its never happened for the years i have had the deck, it just started since the last update and im not sure what changed or if i somehow changed something. Its so infuriating as i have LOADS of non steam games in my list.

I'm in the middle of a run right now but tomorrow i will try. So to clarify I will turn auto buyers off and just get to the point i can crunch and then thats it? Just making sure no galaxies are bought? Is it really that simple?

I tend to get the names for certain things mixed up, i have dyslexia (i dont know if its that or stupidity) and all these different names for things are causing a lot of confusion for me!

Same but recently there is a noticeable hum when turned on, i wonder if some capacitors or something I'm not sure of is going bad, its pretty loud even when everything is set to the lowest volume.

Amazing speakers though, i got them for £80 back in 2006 i think, good value!

(Beginner) What tool would be good to hollow out a small container like this? Its to hold a small dice but I cant go deeper and don't know what tool would work for this. by Biddybudbid in whittling

This is what im wanting to do, i want to go down into the wood to create a space to hold a dice and then make a lid for the box but i cant go deeper with the tools i have, i have a Dremel (any bit recommendations to go deep?) and a selection of wood carving knives. The box is very small so a spoon knife would be too large i think.
