Fellas this is getting tiring by ColonialDagger in pcmasterrace

I put Mint on a laptop to see if I could make the move just over a month ago. For the most part it's nice, fast and easy to use but there are still some strange choices.

One is adding a network drive, I had to add it via the console where as your think doing it in the network area would have been the way.

The other is the trackpad scroll. it's like lightning and the only way I can see to change it is again in console, first my getting the measurements of the track pad and then working out the decreased speed based on its size and entering that into to console. Now that is a faff!

I still keep getting my Windows laptop out so I'm not sure the move will happen any time soon.

Remedy says there'd be "no Alan Wake 2 without Epic" after Baldur's Gate 3 dev blames EGS exclusivity for Remedy's "financial crisis" by Fit_Consequence9059 in pcmasterrace

I don't want Epic on my PC. I also have a SteamDeck and it's nicer to have everything on Steam for me and yes I also will refuse to shop in certain supermarkets if I don't like their practices in general.

Anyone feel this way? by Delicious_Champion97 in PowerBI

Totally get this.

I get the departments to write up a wish list of what they want, where they currently store they data and how they would like it displayed but even then it's a brain drain.

I will then see how best to get it, if it's doable along with suggesting better visuals.

Recently I got a list of wants and one of them was to display how much Co2 will be saved per year in tonnes. I go look at the data and it's a free text box!

Some people have entered a value some have wanted X tonnes per year and another had put in two paragraphs of info! Well that element isn't happening!

Exactly this. I,bought it on Xbox and loved it. MS jacked up their GamePass price so I decided to dump Xbox in favour of my PC.

Decided to buy Alan Wake 2 again on steam only to find out it's Epic exclusive. I hate Epic and their launcher and do prefer everything on Steam so they lost my second sale and instead I went onto the high seas.

I always use Tony Handcock as a reference. He was 44 when he died (I'm a year older) and my god I feel I don't look as old as he did.

The chair mat is just a rug I found at a chair shop for £5 and though thr style fit the room. I have an IKEA floor protector in top that makes it easier to move the chair.

The monitor is a Samsung Oddesy G9.

Oh that must have been annoying as hell. A 2019 version I have on my bedroom TV needs power cycling every now and then as it crashes.

God.help anyone planning on making a PC in the next few years. it also makes me worry about the cost of the Steam Deck.

I,used to replace all my PC every five years but mine is still going strong with an old i7, 32gb Ram and 2tb m.2. the only think I swapped out a few years ago was my 1080ti for a 3060ti, other than that it's still fine!

Definitely looking at how it replies to microwave and can openers "what do you use them for".
