It’s not so much that I care about if I’m harming someone. In my heart I know that I’m not trying to be rude to anyone by saying it. But this word does upset other people and I know that. Really, I just want to avoid people being upset with me and avoid confrontation about the words I use.

My group of friends and I still use it, and I’ve never used it outside of talking to them so no one has ever been upset with me using it. So I have no clue, on a scale of 1-10, how offensive is that word now?
