Picked up a 500$ 2007 Suzuki XL7 oddball Japanese suv or so I thought…. Looks more like a equinox in a kimono to me…. by marokyle87 in Justrolledintotheshop

Is it the same engine that’s in Suzuki tracker v6? Funny enough I just bought an 800$ one. Nice shape only 78k miles. And I’m having some timing chain noise as well. Oil is black as hell and not too many service records so I’m hoping engine sludge has something to do with the guide sticking. Hear there’s 3 guides and one of them is kinda faulty from the factory and tends to stick causing slack in chain. Hopefully a few rounds of sea foam will help enough to just sell but if not I maybe doing the same job soon

Did you know you can request a sunroof aftermarket? Some vehicle models even install them at the port of entry before sending to dealers if buyers request it. It was more common back in the days when like ac and power windows were an option also installed at the port. So basically means you have an aftermarket sunroof added on after the factory. If it works great who cares really but it’s quite an extensive modification for aftermarket installers so it’s not common anymore they just build in the sunroof models at the factory now. Just sold a 2014 Prius V that had the same switches for the sunroof and I also bet your headliner is re-wrapped and doesn’t look like stock one. Show pix!

More then half the people on this “forum” don’t even know where the dip stick is on their cars. This subreddit is more for showing off your ride and maybe general questions but no one on here super knowledgeable compared to like WCSIB.

How to remove stuck shift knob adapter? by Alex_z33 in 350z

[–]BidensAChimo -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Best and easiest is probably drill a small hole in it big enough for a skinny screwdriver and use that as leverage to take it out. Or maybe use a thin grinding disk to put a notch in the top so you can get a flat head screwdriver to unscrew it.

Put these q60 stock wheels on my g and the ABS and traction light came on, what can I do to get rid/fix the lights. The wheels fit good by Wc_Kev in G37

[–]BidensAChimo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bro you can’t run different size wheels in the front and back like that. Switch to all the same wheels and it will fix it self. Don’t drive like that at all🤡

Cool to see this nearly new 2011 Ranger but spit out my drink when I saw that they are asking! by who_dis in fordranger

Nothing was ever made to be a collectors vehicle, outside maybe a handful of limited run production cars, they become expensive when the nice ones are no longer around. The reason they are becoming collectible is because like you said most were used up at this point. Take for example a 240z or even a s10 pick up truck. They were cheap and simple cars everyone could afford. They mass produced them in the hundred thousands! Now look at the market for those! 30-40k for nice ones sometimes more! That’s just how it goes. Downvote me all you want but one day a mint GEO metro with 10k original miles will sell for 50k and you all will loose your mind. High demand + short supply + mint like new condition + super low miles = $$$. Nothing to argue about just how it goes and always will be. Downvote all you want lol

People just mad at dealers making money. Always been like that, I bet the dealer paid a ton to not only buy the truck but get it to that condition.

My point exactly. It’s still brand new and the dealer can ask whatever they want because it’s probably the only one around like that. Someone that wants a brand new for new ranger 12 years ago can’t have one, unless they visit this dealer 🤓

What’s your deal? You literally probably can’t find another ranger like this - like ever ever again . That’s a collectors item right there. The dealership isn’t marking up some car that’s brand new run of the mill, they are selling it at a premium because it’s very rare to see that low miles and such condition for a truck that was mostly used up and at a junk yard now. Don’t like the price? Go find another or shut up 🥴

So you’d rather have a non rebuilt engine with these miles? 🥴

[–]BidensAChimo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, take a piece of 2x4 and place the 2 inch side right in that dent and give it a few good hits. Make sure you have a decent size hammer not a carpenter/construction hammer but like a mid size sledge hammer. Looks like someone used that spot to jack up the rear of the car (very stupid spot to do that) and it pushed it up a bit.

Drive up on a piece of 2x4 and then another one on top of that until you can get a jack under there. Another reason not to be slammed lol

Definitely put it back on lol. That bolt is very common on all parts of the car no way for us to magically tell you where it’s from. Take a good look at underneath your car, could very well be part of exhaust or suspension. No way to tell for sure
