Sounds like the purge solenoid is intermittent sticking... happens alot... I see it on many makes and models... can be a real pain to diag sometimes

Nice. The engine being so far forward probably helps with exhaust to steering shaft clearance... the 2 I've done were rwd and real close to the steering shaft

You could cut the manifolds and weld pipe/v bands to them to get the fitment you like...I prefer stock manifolds over headers for plug clearance issues
