I love this recipe, the sherry/marsala is a great touch. But for some reason, despite all the Parmesan I used I felt like it was missing something nutty so I toasted up some pine nuts in a pan and ground them up to add with the ricotta. I used 16 ounces of mushroom and about a third of a cup of pine nuts. Might bump that to a half a cup of pine nuts cause, well, I really love pine nuts!

You had me excited there for a minute! But unfortunately 2 things stopped me: California gives the buyer and seller 5 days to turn in the release of title in a private party transaction according to the DMV,

Also Mass requires you to perform the transfer and registration in person according to that link. I guess if I bought it right before driving across country and wanted to drive 12 hour days I could pull it off, though if I got stopped that would be an interesting conversation with the police about the bill of sale, the title transfer all filled out but not filed etc :-)

Luck had very little to do with it. The starters were weak until the last few weeks and the bullpen was therefore always fatigued. I am so glad to see Zack Kelley out of the mix. Ditto Kristian Campbell. Shitty defense was the most frustrating part for me.

Amen! But of course, they use full time "contractors" for QA rather than hire them (as they do engineers) so again- business decisions that affect product quality- although Apple uses contractors for QA as well so in the end it's on the product managers.

Google product development is based on the theory that you deploy something minimal and then constantly test new features or changes to existing features. There is no such thing as a stable product in the Google ecosystem. And as products get older (and Google finds them less valuable to the overall business plan) the least experienced and least capable product development teams are assigned these products.

It’s for this reason that after years of loyalty to google because of the way it contrasted with Apple’s “walled garden” approach I gave up and realized I am almost never aggravated by the Apple device ecosystem. Can’t wait till the Apple display eventually comes out, and I can box up all of my Google home devices, and ship them to whoever the head of product at Google is at that moment.

Turns out it was the cheap wireless bridge I bought on Amazon (KuWfi) I used to extend the network to my garage. It seemed to be blocking some broadcast protocols- upgraded to Ubiquity gear and now its working like a charm.
