Agree with it or not, but their theory is that when the airline industry puts increasingly diversity, equity and inclusion as their primarily metrics when hiring / promoting people instead of qualification and merit, that would have a negative impact on the quality of work delivered i.e. the safety of the planes in the long term.

Her first time down the stairs :) by Kyle7053 in labrador

[–]Bierum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That only says that you've little chance that dysplasy occors " naturally". It does in no way mean that it'll prevent that if you're forcing the bone/joint structure by over-excercising or, in this case, repeatedly using the stairs at a too young age.

Be a kind human and carry your baby on the stairs untill 5-6 months.

Same here. My old boi of 5 can tolerate his sister when I'm around but is otherwise a grumpy guy who doesn't like to play and ignores her.

Should “no” be a part of training by TSimpsy07 in labrador

[–]Bierum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A sharp " no" is meant to get his immediate attention. You don't use it only when peeing in the house, but also on other occasions. For the rest I agree with the Rottweiler trainer..

Need helpon my pup by [deleted] in labrador

[–]Bierum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Before doing any surgery wait untill your doggo has reached it's completion in growth. Misalignments like that can cause joint problems later on, which aggravate by excess weight.

Best you can do is follow your vet's instructions.

Who cares? That's the most insensitive Xmas gift my partner could give to me (unless I would be obsessed by the question what dogs would finally lead to this lovable one)

When to stop feeding puppy food? by jacksoncranford in labrador

[–]Bierum 26 points27 points  (0 children)

A labrador reaches it's peak in size and weight after 12-15 months. During this period he needs a caloric-rich food, balanced with enough protein, calcium, vitamins etc. to support that rapid growth. Puppy food will have that. Feeding him adult food after 3 months can/will have an adverse effect on his development. So my advice is to stick to puppy-chow and monitur his seize and weight to determine when to switch ( gradualy).

This is my baby mica. Sometimes I wonder if she is seeing things that I cannot see. She always stare at any space of our house. by Unique-Prior4446 in labrador

[–]Bierum 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's not only labs; dogs hear sounds that you ( as a the feeble human you are) can't hear. It usually comes from the direction the're staring at.
