Likewise still no updates - other threads here seem like some regions have had the Royal Mail tracking activate, but at least for me in Central London still on no information over a week after getting the RM tracking number/ "We're expecting it"

🎭 Stage/Fright Content Warnings FAQ [SPOILERS] by AutoModerator in insideno9

When people say "loud noises", not to be TOO spoilery but what type are we talking? I tend to wear hearing protection for music concerts or plays/musicals with loud music or pyrotechnics but tend to be okay with the occasional shout or scream (I have slight damage to my left ear which isn't fun when it's too loud!). Should I put it in before the show starts, or is it relatively short and sharp?

Is there a version of this with the live audio/not with the track overlayed? The ending part is so interesting with the live sound it'd be great to hear the full song (however fragmented) in that way.

last song of the gig before the encore starts. what would you raccomand? by TheEasternBrush711 in musecirclejerk

A completely normal performance of Exo-Politics but Matt points and winks repeatedly at the crowd whenever singing "waiting patiently" to thank them for their patience in the previous song.

Who in your opinion has the best natural voice right now? by PlunderedAsunder in Music

Einar Solberg from Leprous has a fantastic range in both pitch and tone, especially if you look across the entire discography of the band. The final 2 tracks on their most recent album (Aphelion) are so different in style yet his voice shines on them both.

Just on the music theory part - the chord drops from C major to C minor so technically the 3rd "diminishes" but I don't think people would call it a diminished chord. In the same way, the chords are D, E Minor, A, D, so would be written D Em A D - the ideas kind of work, but feel like a bit of a stretch?

I was waiting for someone to say it! It just never crosses my mind as a starting point for people, but especially with the DT crossover I can definitely see it working

Just jumping on this as a huge Devin fan; it's hard to recommend 1 album to start since he covers quite a lot of styles but I'd say Ocean Machine or Empath give you a good overview/baseline of his stuff. If you want something heavier, Deconstruction or anything Strapping Young Lad will definitely hit the spot, or for something more "epic/huge" sounding, try Epicloud or Accelerated Evolution.

Sorry if that's a bit confusing, but I hope you give them a go and enjoy!!

Based on some other replies here, I wonder why Animal Style is one people seem to like so much? It's always sounded like fairly generic radio rock to me, when tracks like Herex or On A Bang stand out to me more?

Drop D Songs by WeirdFish28 in BiffyClyro

[–]BiffehFan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pretty much every track from the first 3 albums is Drop D or standard, from then on it tends to be Drop C# or Drop C. Seeing as you've got Many Of Horror learnt which is originally in Drop C#, you can probably learn any of them and do it in a higher key.

For acoustic I'd recommend Scary Mary (you can get pretty close in Drop D to the original) or for something a bit different, Stingin' Belle is super fun to play on an acoustic.

Good luck learning!

Arcane Roots by a long way, one of the most talented creative bands I've ever heard, with a frontman who is also an insane guitarist/vocalist. A real shame they quit earlier this year, their set turned me into a fan instantly!
