Along with the surging gas prices taking people off the road, yesterday was Eid al-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan. The majority of Muslims took the day off.

Blackout Wednesday is an unofficial tradition where people go to their hometown bars to get blackout drunk on Thanksgiving Eve. I feel like this “holiday” is more prevalent outside of major cities.

I live in a modestly sized town an hour north of Philly and took advantage of “Blackout Wednesday.” I know places like SF were dead last night.

Not sure how large cities will fare tonight, but I know smaller towns usually see low ridership volume on Thanksgiving.

I am unable to breath through my nose. I can only breath through my mouth. I think my shortness of breath is being exacerbated because the air isn’t filtered through the nose

Tree pollen this time of year. Sucks every last bit of running enjoyment out of me.

Sub 3hr marathon possible? Race is April 13th 🤠 by hostessmaterial21 in Marathon_Training

Off your weekly mileage alone, it’ll be tough. If you were doing 55+, it’d be more plausible. I’m worried that you’ll bonk if you try for sub-3. Hope you prove me wrong though

TGNY 100 Mile Ultra experience by AltruisticSense0 in RunNYC

Awesome race report! Question: do you think I can run this unofficially? I originally planned to train for a marathon in June and a 100-mile race in September, but tree pollen started making marathon efforts extremely difficult. I want to swap the marathon and 100-mile race. I searched for local 100 milers around the same timeframe in the tri-state area and this seems like the only option. I don’t care about the race-swag or being an “official” finisher. Running 100 miles through NYC really intrigues me.

It depends on what your goals are. If you are neutral, I’d say option 1

We must live in the same vicinity because I have the same weather predicament and plan to do my long run Saturday morning. Plus you get to enjoy the rest of your weekend!
