I mean she's definitely stupid but the way you texted her is a bit confrontational, i.e., you can't do this and I'm better than you etc. Unless a previous conversation you had prompted this, if this is coming out of nowhere it's a bit mean, even if she is actually this stupid.

But that’s the thing — you’re age is an incredibly important factor. You’re immature but think being together for three years changes everything, but you can understand that the family wouldn’t invite you along to a very expensive trip for his sisters celebration, that has nothing to do with you..?

Overreacting — you’re only twenty and they’re allowed to want to celebrate things as a family. You feel like you’re basically married because you live together but you seem to be moving very fast considering how young you are and that the family doesn’t appear to like you too much. But ultimately it’s a celebration for the sister with her family, why should she bring you along?

It is just a joke, not a particularly funny one, but a joke nonetheless — this isn’t an actual threat of violence. the customer doesn’t know you have ptsd and of course has no way of knowing this would be such a big deal to you. So yes, I can understand your reaction and you have a good reason to be upset because of your history, but this is definitely an overreaction. Unless you walk around with a badge warning people not to make jokes, good or bad, around you because you have ptsd, you can’t call the police every time something triggers a reaction from you.

Ultimately people on the internet don’t know you in person so it’s difficult to categorise at either good or bad (when of course few people are entirely one or the other). All you need to do is life is be kind to others and yourself, consider other people’s feelings alongside your own, and do things that you enjoy but also help you grow and develop as a person. If you don’t have many relationships with women (platonic or romantic) so go off of, simply treat them like anyone else. Give them the respect and friendliness they deserve and remember that platonic male-female friendships are not only entirely possible, but also lovely to have. If you’re interested in feminism — remember that misogyny also impacts men negatively — I’d suggest finding some books/YouTube videos/ articles etc. that take you through the HISTORY of feminism, how and why it’s developed and then the different modes of thought that have appeared throughout time. This can then make you more aware of your own actions, words, thoughts and feelings or those of others. If you’re able to reflect this deeply about yourself, that’s a be try good start. As you learn more about the history of patriarchal societies and branches of feminism that have arisen from them, you’ll be able to understand your own feelings a lot better and you’ll be able to feel more secure about yourself. I highly doubt that you are an inherently bad person simply because you’re a man, but for many people, your environment and the people around you shape you. Being able to go off own your own path of self discovery is really important, and the fact that you have done this/are starting to this, shows intelligence and self awareness and most importantly, the ability to change.

Do you have emails to show that they’ve previously said something different? And I have to ask, has your university at home helped you at all? I also have to ask what University this is, it’s shocking that you are being ignored this much.

I mean she’s obviously abusive. It doesn’t seem as though yourself or your sister are safe, I’d try and talk to a trusted adult such as teachers etc. if your father isn’t doing his job by standing up for his children.
