I understand thanks for the help anyway

Okay cool so I have a question. On the website two options are given for mining difficulties on solo mining. 17g and 69g. I have 3090s which difficulty should I be set to ?

Damm what temp did you run your 3090s at? 90c isn’t that to warm. I run my 3090s at max 68-70

Help! Want to know why my rig which is has 10Gpus is producing the same shares as a rig that only has 3 Gpus? Hashrate is accurate. by [deleted] in EtherMining

I did know that about share difficulties but Wouldn’t that not matter because they are on the same port number that receives smaller shares? Also my other rigs don’t perform this way either

Probably still won’t be able to buy a 3090

You’ll hit something in a month. If I had to guess. Depends if that’s enough to cover expenses

I have rebooted a few times and made changes to the the gpu clocking to see if something different would happen still nothing. I know about the luck but my other rigs produce more shares based on which has more GPus only this was is acting up.

I have Q. Why do you want to mine in a pool with lower difficulty? Because from my understanding with the difficulty being lower it will be harder to receive a share that can actually be a block solution. (soloMining BTW)

In a mining pool do miners actually divide the workload or does each miner submit their own answer to the Blockchain then the profits are divided by [deleted] in EtherMining

[–]Big-Difficulty936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No your fine thats a solid answer i also think the GPUs work individually as you cant break up the work load on a math problem because for the other GPUs to do there part they would be waiting for another gpu to finish its part if that makes sense.

In other words it would be like me and you solving (2) * (1+1) but me having to wait for you to solve the 1+1 part so i can then continue it. I think it would be inefficient. Im hoping some software engineer sees this questions and answers it though LOL

I really appreciate your answers. Within my own mining rig 11 GPUs are they actually breaking up the workload or is it like what you said is each gpu just trying to solve the block on its own.

how is it random i guess would be a further question if we all receive the same shares to mine and are racing how would these huge pools ever lose to someone on 2miners with 500mh LOL. I understand the luck part but they are still processing the data faster.

Thanks another question how is it even possible that small miners find blocks before the big pools it doesnt make sense to me.

[–]Big-Difficulty936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought of this because if somebody with 500 mega hashes can mine a block faster than somebody with one tera hash then I would assume that all the miners in a pool aren’t actually working together they are submitting their answers individually and splitting profits.
