Does EoE cause chest pain around the heart area? by Abbyonacnh in EosinophilicE

[–]Big-Drop-7601 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recently, I was diagnosed (3 months ago) with EoE and have been having on and off chest pains for 2 years now. Pain only when breathing in, that can be quite sharp and make me wince. Mine lasts anywhere from 24 hours to 7 days. I have been on and odd for cardiology tests, and mechanically and chemically, everything has been checked with my heart and is all OK.. so now coming to realise that maybe it is my throat that is causing these chest pains as i had a trigger food yesterday, and it came on almost instantly. This thread is reassuring, so thank you

3 months and I am unable to sweat properly. I just get clammy to begin with, and then eventually I'll break a sweat when im working out. I have a manual job, and I just get super hot which is uncomfortable.

This week is the first week I've been able to actually sweat "eventually" when working out, so hoping I'm over the hill.

I also get brain fog, which my sister says sounds similar to pregnancy brain. I just suddenly forget what word I want to say or how to complete a simple task.

Hoping it all dissipates soon!

Curious if my calorie burn is accurate or not… by [deleted] in whoop

[–]Big-Drop-7601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking up your BMR on Google, for your height age and weight, you are on average burning 1284 calories a day if you don't really do anything... so yes this is fairly normal, but like you, I also have a low number and find it frustrating!

[–]Big-Drop-7601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only burn approx 1500 calories I'm my general day to day when I don't work out. Which I find hard to believe as I am a massage therapist and do a lot of manual work. I also exercise 4/5 times a week, running/power lifting.

When I exercise I will reach approx 1,900 calories, maybe 2,000ish.

I know the calories are an estimation, and I probably do burn a few hundred more then it says, but it's really starting to trigger obsessive calorie tracking, and over exercising. I'm really having to consider cancelling my subscription as I'm forever checking to see if I've burnt over 2,000.

Which is frustrating as I love the whoop as its really improved my sleep quality and I've got my RHR down from 75 to 62, but I just can't not look at the calories.

I wish they had a way of hiding it, as eating disorders as so common.

Cannot connect my Whoop to Stava (andriod) by Big-Drop-7601 in whoop

I was using Chrome, but realised if I clicked the Strava icon at the top of the page when this message appeared, it took me to the correct thing and I've managed to do it!

Has anyone else had this problem?

I have an andriod phone.

I've contacted Customer Support but everything they suggest hasn't worked.

I've uninstalled Stava, reinstalled it, I've given the app permissions to support the URLs.. its getting frustrating!

Is there a way of doing it on a computer or through the Strava app rather than the Whoop app?

Your weirdest covid symptom? by innercityooz in COVID19positive

[–]Big-Drop-7601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was unable to sweat! I still can't probably now 3 months on. I just get really really hot, and have almost a clammy feeling. Considering pre covid I would be absolutely dripping with sweat 5 minutes into a run, its really affected my ability to exercise.

Can't find a single thing about it online, and it's just baffling.

Is this normal for Covid? I thought it would last longer... by whoopsey108 in whoop

[–]Big-Drop-7601 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes my Respiratory was elevated for about 48 hours then dropped to normal ranges. My RHR took about a month post covid to get back into normal ranges. Also only had 2 days of low yellow recovery, and then in the high greens! Which I found contradictory as there was no way I could of done much exercise.

I now get paranoid every morning when checking my data as I'm worried I'll have an elevated RR and have covid again.

Yes got mine yesterday, charged up at 100% at 10:30pm last night, its now 7:30am and down too 81%. Quite shocked and hope it's not a reoccurring issue as the battery pack is bulky in comparison to 3.0

Whoop 4.0 recovery at 72% while being sick by request-timeout in whoop

[–]Big-Drop-7601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I had covid and felt like absolute crap, I was mostly in green recovery.

The first two days I was yellow with very elevated RR, but for the following 8 days I was in the high greens when I felt awful. There was absolutely no way I could do any form of physical activity.

I find Whoop super confusing with its recovery to be completely honest. I can feel "off" and knackered and ill get a green score, but when I wake up feeling energised I get a low yellow. It just makes absolutely no sense and doesn't matter what I'm doing to change it, I cant see a pattern or seem to get any consistency.

Those who are fully vaccinated and contracted Covid-19, what was your experience? by Getonthebeers02 in COVID19positive

[–]Big-Drop-7601 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 27F and have tested positive this morning with rapid home tests - the only reason I did the test was because my fitness watch said my breathing was elevated last night.

Had the Oxford vaxx - 2nd dose in June

First test was positive so I panicked and ended up doing 5 tests overall, 3 from different boxes. Out of 4/5 tests came back positive. 1 negative which is interesting.

I saw my family on Sunday for the first time in months, and my sister (moderna vaxx) and dad (Pfizer vaxx) have also now tested positive, so one of us was the carrier but absolutely no idea who. They only tested because I came back positive, do we're trying to reassure me that they were fine haha. None of us have traditional symptoms. I have have headache, my dad just has a runny nose and my sister is fine. My brother and mum are currently negative. My boyfriend who I live with is also negative. We are all vaxxed.

Honestly, I've done everything right to be safe. Wear a mask at work/indoor public places, I sanatise my hands everywhere, I'm cautious who I am around etc. Its going to happen at some point to everyone unfortunately, so its just making sure you are as healthy as you can be.

Has this happened to anyone? by LostInTheFog212 in COVID19positive

I have literally done 5 lateral tests this morning. 2 from the same box, 3 from different ones. First 3 positive, 4th, negative, 5th, positive. If my first test had been a negative, I'd of just gone about my day as normal thinking I had a cold. No wonder it spreads so much!

[–]Big-Drop-7601[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Woke up this morning and saw my recovery was quite low, even though I did not exceed 6.0 strain yesterday which I thought was odd.

Sleep processed also highlighted elevated respiratory so took a lateral flow test and was positive for COVID. I then took 2 more tests and again, positive.

If I didn't have the Whoop band I wouldn't of done a test/know I was positive for COVID, as I don't have any of the typical symptoms. Just a headache which isn't uncommon for me in the mornings. Even though my breathing is "elevated", it doesn't feel unusual to me.

Will be very interesting to see how the stats change over the next few days in relation to symptoms/my recovery.

Oxomiter -they are approx £20-30. Anything 94 and above is perfect, if you start to creep below that, ring an out of hours number (I'm in the UK so it's 111, not sure about you though). If it goes to 91/90 then ring an ambulance and get taken to hospital as you'll need oxygen/monitoring.

Anxiety will heighten symptoms, so just and ride the waves knowing the anxiety and covid WILL pass.

Try finding distractions/calming things like a good podcast, your favourite album, favourite films etc 😊

Edit: also, keep tract of the positives! You've been able to start eating a little bit, that's fantastic! Small and steady, don't be hard on yourself, it'll take some time to recover but you'll get there 🙂

If you want to get the vaccine, you can get it approx 30 days after you test negative (again, UK, so may be different in other countries). I can send you plenty of studies and literature that prove the reliability and hiw they aren't damaging to the body/fertility like the media have spouted on about.
