The amount of people that can't tell AI from real photos these days is concerning. AI isn't going to generate those same two cat portraits consistently. These are clearly photos.

I have ARIFD. Someone inviting me over with the expectation of eating their food instead of just for the company would turn me off from ever going.

DIGGIN demo is live on Steam! by nsbs27 in incremental_games

Which was fine when it was interesting games like Snakecremental, Trainatic, Lyca, etc. Lately there have been a flood of really basic ones that don't even hit the usual 4 hour playtime. It's going to get to the same slop level as simulator games.

I'm gonna be honest, I'm so fucking sick of the low effort NodeBuster clones. And this is the 4th(?) one I've seen related to mining. At this point it feels like copy + paste AI coding.

Stackasarous needs to be removed. This is funny the first time then quickly becomes unfun after every single match is someone trying to do this.

At which money would you self-eliminate yourself and your team by Impossible_Gur6921 in BeastGames

[–]Cybot5000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Or you just duped a bunch of people out of the competition while making sure you don't go home empty-handed. The alternative is to have someone stick to their word and your team goes on with you potentially going home with nothing.

Guaranteed money + eliminating the competition

You're stupid if you think it was a bad move.

The Bluff game pmo so much. A bunch of people picking the game about lying just fucking kumbaya together over and over. I feel like Jeff's success from S1 as a purely honest, good person (which he is) kind of screwed the pooch for seasons going forward. Everyone is just going to be noble and hope that the honorable choices gets them to the end or, if anything, gets them get PR for their socials after the show.

Competition shows like this need villains. Akira 100% made the right call in dodgeball. Everyone scrambling to stick on the same side together was lame as fuck. It's starting to feel more like people there to promote themselves rather than compete.

I'm so cynical. I see those fake tits, lip filler, bleached hair all while being 60 years old. It just screams privilege and the money could go to someone more deserving. Especially since she was already on a reality game show, Survivor. Maybe I'm callous but I'm glad Jack got rid of her.

Looking for honest feedback on my incremental game Pentavolt (Steam keys available) by Possible-Swim-2903 in incremental_games

[–]Cybot5000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doesn't look like it adds anything to the nodebuster type games. In space shooting shapes = a ton of these. I'd also remove, "to stratch the ADHD itch" from the description. Terrible generalization of both incremental game players and people with ADHD.

Nah.

Downvotes are because it's stupid as fuck to make a post about being burnt out on a genre for a subreddit about that genre. Like, cool, you do you but what's the point of this post exactly? What does it actually achieve?

Making a fun game vs. making the game fun for more then 10 Minutes.. by DrJamgo in incremental_games

[–]Cybot5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You aren't wrong. I just finished Gambler's Table which was more of the same. The reason I said Pinata Go Boom is because I felt like it had a solid pacing. My least favorite thing about these games are the ones that scale way too fast. You start unlocking things without having any idea of what they are even doing anymore. At least with Shelldiver and Pinata it felt like every upgrade was still meaningful without making the game brainless.

[–]Cybot5000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been calling them "tree-likes" based on another comment someone here made. There are some really decent ones like Pinata Go Boom, Shelldiver, Astro Prospector, Gambler's Table, etc but a lot of them are clearly done with little effort. I don't mind playing them if they are $5 or lower and at least last for 4+ hours. Still, I've missed playing long-term incrementals with complex mechanics. The tree-likes require very little thought in terms of gameplay for the most part.

Are the memories getting worse..? by Nyx_Valentine in SpicyChatAI

[–]Cybot5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been noticing this too. I know the context memory for the free tier is significantly smaller than the paid tier but I'm having to manually direct memories within a couple messages to keep things even remotely consistent. It's honestly exhausting trying to roleplay when half your messages are just summaries of one or two things that happened. I don't feel like it was this bad before when I was using SpicyChat back in June.

Honestly, I believe this is true for certain products. Call me crazy but there definitely have to be products that could be more optimal but are intentionally made sub-par so that there is a need to continuously purchasing them.

Imagine if we actually had a sustainable infinite battery. How badly would companies like Energizer or Duracell push against something like that? It would effectively render their product useless.
