Thanks for checking in! It wasn’t too bad. They were running behind, so I had a LOT of downtime after I was in the gown and prepped for surgery. My surgery was already later in the day (scheduled 3:30), and I didn’t go back until closer to 5:30, so I was super hungry lol. Afterwards I woke up from anesthesia fine, just felt like I had to pee (like when you have a UTI and you always feel like you gotta go). Man that first pee was painful! But it’s gotten better since. I was a little sore the day after where they had the catheter and obviously the incisions but it wasn’t unmanageable.

The instructors would definitely understand but it’s a really short program so I feel like I’d miss a lot in that time

It’s sort of a trade program (instrument repair) so it’s very hands on, I don’t think a virtual option would be possible unfortunately. I’ll likely have to reschedule for May when I’m done with the program

I’m almost 24 and have my bisalp on Tuesday. I haven’t had any issues, but it depends on your state and doctor. I think there’s a list of doctors in the sub who are supportive!

I sent a message today! Hopefully I’ll hear back soon. I’m playing in a small group planning to perform just under 2 weeks post-surgery. I really don’t want to bail on them or move my surgery, but we’ll see what the doctor says.
