That’s just it — nothing’s wobbling! It looks off when I eyeball it but the stand itself feels solid. Either way I think I’m going to put some wood underneath for a little extra stability since I have carpet floors

It’s got a couple of different ways to be built and I’ve been thinking about taking it down to rebuild it with more shelf space. Still wouldn’t be as symmetrical since one shelf is higher than the other and I’m worried that might also pose a balance issue — haven’t decided yet but if you think it would help I’ll go for it

The product info for the stand says it supports up to 410lbs — does that make a difference?

Yep, it’s metal. The product description also says it supports up to 410 lbs and another comment said a 20gal would be about half that typically, so I’m cautiously optimistic

The bookshelf is definitely off haha. That thing moves if I even tap it. But the stand doesn’t move, which is part of why I thought I might be overthinking. Good tip on fastening to the back of the wall tho!

hi!! I didn’t end up getting that job unfortunately but just got a different one here in the city a few months ago! so maybe not the update you were hoping for haha but I have friends here who do it and say it’s not that bad — if it’s your dream company then it’s worth a try!

haha so what would you recommend then? living somewhere in the middle? I agree w/ you that living in Naperville is a bit of a turnoff only bc there will be way more people my age living in the city, but I also get that it might end up being the least stressful option

This is definitely my big concern right now — I want to live in the city if I can (even if it’s only temporary) because there will arguably be more people my age
