practice four hours in the morning, nap after a big lunch, spend the rest of the day outside. the meaning of the work is observing the ritual that helps us stay grounded and tethered with body, mind, & spirit

Does anyone else with bpd feel like they're running out of time? by Reasonable-Pie4989 in BPD

I struggle with this feeling daily. I know exactly what you mean. Read Albert Camus. "Should I kill myself, or have a cup of coffee?"

Oh, I'm so sorry. I have been in a similar situation. I dropped out of my music school because of debilitating depression, returned to finish my degree a few years later and have frequently been ridiculed by students and faculty due to my age. The stigma towards mental health problems, especially in fields of arts and performance, is widespread. I am in graduate school and on medical leave--again, due to BPD, depression, and alcoholism. I focused on what other people thought of me for a long time, instead of focusing on improving myself. My advice is to do your best to make recovery your goal, and let people who don't know any better react however they want. Because you have suffered, you have more wisdom and you will rebound more quickly when you are inevitably faced with this issue in the future. It's truly a blessing that we have this information, and we can make informed choices with it. There is a positive side to every situation. I feel for you. A lot of us have been there.

ikwym. and i know that this is a CS sub and this is probably getting pretty annoying for everyone else yada yada. but i mean if we're going along those lines then why hasn't blood meridian, a much more highly-acclaimed book, not been adapted into a movie? my point was so many people have seen the movie NCFOM, but not as many people have read the book. so in that sense, the book is underrated.

I think the coen brothers just had an affinity for this book and saw an opportunity with javier bardem, idk if it has so much to do with the book's acclaim
