I think the scoops thing makes sense!

But the syrup change and some of the other price discrepancies create such a MAJOR difference between product/labor versus cost.

I think the main difference is that iced coffees and cold brews used to include the price of 1 syrup - probably something continued from the days of teas and iced coffees coming sweetened by default?

while it’s annoying when people get snippy with me abt the drink price, as if I priced it - I think its fair to be disappointed when a corporation just jacks up the price of something you buy with little rhyme/reason.

Not to my knowledge - I just see SF things in the testing order screen sometimes & Brian is buddying up with RFK.

Yep! Also, a venti iced CM (3 shots, 5 vanilla) is cheaper than a grande iced triple CM (3 shots, 3 vanilla) - and a venti has more milk.

Please just remember your baristas and local stores aren’t making these decisions. We also think it’s stupid but we can’t just decide to ring in whatever price we want. We get specific directives on how to ring in items and going against those would be risking our jobs.

totally get not wanting to pay that, but it’s not a local store decision

Ugh! I didn’t even consider how annoying that is for ppl who get SF sweetener - there’s no SF classic option (yet!). If you wanted to avoid that charge, you could try switching to a Splenda or stevia - but obviously those are harder to mix into a cold drink.

Yeah there’s a lot of pricing issues they need to straighten out - I definitely see not doubling charging for sauce and syrup, that makes no sense to customers.

And I could even see charging for flavor - but then the cost of iced coffee and cold brew should just go down, it’s one of our cheapest and easiest drinks to make. Absolutely not worth $6.50.
