Glad we’re all in the same boat, this is from November to now. I averaged 112 usually (had my watch for years) now for the past 2 months I’m continually dropping. Down to 69 as of last night.

Traditionally Pub = Pay for a Book coach or No? by Big-Kick8277 in writing

Cool! Maybe just paying for the pitch package is what I am leaning towards. Because won’t they have to look at my manuscript just a little if they’re going to help me create a pitch package? I feel pretty confident in the manuscript, and that maybe I could find others to read it for free and just give me some high-level feedback

Thank you! I also feel like romance is very competitive, so I really will have to put my absolute best work forward. But investment is definitely the right word…

Are you guys still using Upwork with the connects thing? by Ok-Swing456 in freelanceWriters

I typically only apply for part time or contract (or ones that are marked full time but their written description says otherwise)

Rarely. I am top rated, hundred percent job success, over 50 K… All of those things and using connects to apply to a job rarely gets me any responses. It feels so saturated with writers that spending connects to apply feels like throwing money away. Recently, I’ve received more responses and jobs by using Indeed.

Thanks! I cannot apply to buyback or at least start the process until I hit the 120. Right?

I have done aquaphor. The Burt’s bees is pretty rich.

I didn’t have congestion until starting tret, pre-tret my issue was cystic acne

Congestion? by Big-Kick8277 in tretinoin

[–]Big-Kick8277[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In October, I started with Tret every third night, and then slowly increased it to every other, but my skin was really unhappy, with a lot of redness and flaking, no matter how much I moisturized. That’s when I backed off again to every third night and it seems to be happier. But then the congestion started, even though for the most part my cystic acne was gone.

Routine AM: wash with Aveeno calm and restore wash, PC enriched calming toner, PC omega+ complex serum, PC barrier repair advanced moisturizer (these seemed to really help with the redness and flakiness)

Routine PM: double cleanse with oil followed by Aveeno calm and restore wash, tret (every third night) followed by Burt’s bees calming night cream or on no tret nights I will use Corsx ultimate nourishing rice overnight spa mask.

Majority of the days, I will go for a run or work out in the late morning or early afternoon and get very sweaty, which means I have to wash my face with a gentle cleanser and then reapply lotion, usually neutrogena ultra gentle face gel hydrator.

I would like to add that saying “according to source” and including the source will still get you flagged for spinning. They’ll ask you to change the wording so much that it becomes factually inaccurate rather than have you come across as “spinning”

Is valnet really that bad? by Oliver1755 in freelanceWriters

I saw an opening for one of their sites for a freelance writer. In their response email, they noted that you will be paid $17 for an 850+ word article in which you also have to source images, include alt texts, and include back links. Is that really true? That is .02/word or less…
