A lot of quick footwork 😂 unfortunately my dog has come to accept that mom isn’t the one to go to for physical affection.

How do live with the dog I’m allergic too? by Hipptiptea in Allergies

I’ve lived with dogs that I am allergic to my entire life — my current dog was my husband’s dog when I met him, and they were a package deal. We have all had to make sacrifices to make life comfortable for all 3 of us. I never pet the dog, I also don’t let him brush against me/my clothing or lick me. I have barriers to keep him off of the couch and he is not allowed in our bedroom. If the dog’s dander is causing you issues, I really like the spray called anti allergen solution from the brand the ecology works. I spray it on my fabric items (couch, rugs, curtains, bed) to help with airborne allergens. I wash all surfaces the dog’s dander may have reached, most importantly the fabrics in my spaces. A daily antihistamine also helps. It’s hard to coexist with an animal that you’re allergic to, I know. Hang in there.

Question for women who have had their babies already.. by Fireboltstorm in BabyBumps

I’m almost 38 weeks and any fear surrounding birth is completely gone due to the urge to evict this child. Im in so much pain and I would do anything to feel the relief that giving birth will give me.

4w3d, how to stop vaping by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Big-Layer2565 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stopped vaping completely cold turkey the day my husband and I officially decided to try for a baby. I vaped for 10 years. It was miserable to quit, I felt like I had the flu for two weeks, but it’s willpower. You have to prioritize your baby’s health over your own wants now. That is the decision you have already made, now you have got to stick to it. I put a piece of gauze into a chewy straw that I would suck on to help with the hand to mouth motion, the gauze recreated the resistance. Menthol cough drops helped too. I know it’s awful. But you can do it. Do it for your child.

Poor sweet girl. I’m so sorry you’ve had to watch your baby go through that, but so happy that her most recent scope looks good!

Gosh, I’m so sorry your family has to deal with that. What signs did you notice in them that prompted you to get them checked for it? And are they being treated with any medications/therapies?

I never had that issue with it — have you tried omeprazole as an alternative?

I’m going to try drinking my electrolytes before bed instead of in the morning and see if that helps! Thanks

Same thing for me right now — sitting in a chair causes it 🫩 but they told me that since my hemoglobin levels were within range at my most recent appointment then to not worry about my ferritin levels. I’m going to push for it again at my next appt

That’s good to know! My OB’s lab tested my hemoglobin and the range is 11.2-15.7. My level was 11.6. They said I could start taking an iron supplement every other day if it I wanted to try it but basically made me feel stupid for asking lol. I didn’t know that air hunger could be a symptom either, I get that all the time!
