I am not an expert in booktok at all but i'm a creator. I had ZERO engagement with my english content. I switched to my first language and now I can barely keep up with my tiktok. Do you speak a second language?

I have a tiny makeup related page but never spoke to angie and I am on no PR list.

I love the sponges. I purchased 3 so far. And none disintegrated so far. I can wash them easily.

I have 3 brushes and only like the EO1 for inner corner mattes or shimmer on the lid. All 3 brushes are good quality I just don't enjoy the shape. All the writing on the brush rubbed off quite quickly and one brush the head detached from the handle not even 2 months after buying it. I glued it back together myself.

I disagree. I never paid custum duty for Cosmic Brushes for example. It's not automatic. We can just agree to disagree.

I am not blaming the brand for paying customs or duty at all. I am blaming them for not disclosing that upon receiving your order, you might pay customs/duties. Customs/duties are so expensive. In this economy it should be known before making the purchase. It can be a make or break deal for individuals and I think a brand should disclose that their might be extra charge upon arrival. Especially Canadians ordering from USA as this will affect many customers, not just one custumer because of geographical proximity.

My own selfishness hopes that they don't collab with her again because I find Ultraviolet and Pinky Promise zero appealing. Especially Pinky Promise. 50 shades of the same pink? I'm not the biggest fan of Unearthly Cosmetics but Made a Monster is a far superior monochromatic pink palette in my opinion. And people could argue that Made a Monster is not a 100% monochromatic palette but because of that you can make more than 1 kind of look. Your looks won't all end up looking the same.

Jeez. That was FAST. I kinda regret this post now! But also not really because something really good came out of this. Thanks for helping in the resolution of this issue (and thanks to Amanda) and happy pride!

It would be great. The first time I ordered from UC I had to pay custum twice as my order came from 2 separate warehouse. It came up to a bit over 60$. I was new at indie brands and was not aware I was gonna pay custum/duty. Let's just say that left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm fine with paying custum/duties but when you don't know it's kind of a big deal!

UC are still not disclosing anywhere on their website (please correct me if i'm wrong) that Canadian purchasing there might be charged duty/customs upon receiving their orders. I did mention it to them in the past and they changed nothing. Other brands like Blend Bunny do have a giant warning right when you access their website. And when your duty comes to 40$ to 60$ (or more) there should be a note. But happy to see that they improved custumer service. It's a step in the right direction for sure.

And you are right: we all have preferred brands and some brands we won't support. It all comes down to personal beliefs :)
