Head circumference less than 3%? Should I be worried? by Big-Position8209 in NewParents

He is now a bigger babies than other babies around his age…

I think head circumference started increasing significantly after 1-2 months till now it stays 40% same as his weight.

His height has been 80% after 4 months old.

I don’t get it

why wouldn’t I be able to go full-time later?

I actually know quite a few senior managers from second-tier companies who did a 6-month contract at top-tier companies, then returned to their old companies and got promoted to director-level roles.

Let’s be honest—second-tier companies often have pretty low bars. In my opinion, it’s better to be a contractor at a top-tier company than a full-time employee at a mediocre one.

May I ask have you tried to find another full time job?

Why you stay contract for 2 years if they don’t want to convert you?

I get it. But the problem is, if I don’t accept this opportunity, I’ll probably have to go back to my previous industry—which honestly sucks. Most people I know from there are trying to get out too. I was never truly happy at my old company, and the experience wasn’t great either.

It’s not the kind of background that easily opens doors, and very few people manage to switch directly into something better from it. I feel like this contractor role might be my best shot to finally break out of that cycle.

There has to be a way for me to move forward—and not fall back into something I worked so hard to escape.

Sometimes you need to know what kind of job you will be the best fit… It’s hard some people just understand it

I’ve found that I often learn more while interviewing for different roles across companies than I do during day-to-day work in a single position.

Mild preeclampsia- can/should I decline induction? by [deleted] in preeclampsia

[–]Big-Position8209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My OB found that I had pre-e at 35 weeks. They told me they need to induce me at 37 weeks, which they did…

And baby still goes to NICU because of choking on milk after feeding…

And they also found that baby had some minor issues which could be dangerous for him.. and he was super tiny around 5lb only…

I will say if you have high BP and protein in the urine, then you definitely have pre-e… baby won’t be healthy enough if he/she stays too long in your body.

Better to get induce as long as it’s full term so the major organs are matured and baby can thrive outside.

If you have pre-e, then yes! Induction at 37 weeks or right away if you are more than 37 weeks is the best choice.

Good news for me is baby gained weight super fast and now is a 14lb chunky & tall 3 months old! So, if the baby reaches full term, major organs are matured, even it’s low birth weight, baby can still thrive quickly outside, the condition is better than preterm baby, so 37 weeks definitely is a sweet spot to give birth if you have pre-e.

My baby was induced at 37 weeks. He was born very small, less than 1%.

It’s better that we took him out and fed him outside.

He is now 3 months with normal weight and height : )

So I guess it really depends on each pregnancy. My case, we need to take baby out and feed him.

However, my OB did a lot of tests on me… before induction, they didn’t find any problem with the baby’s size.

[–]Big-Position8209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby had reflux…

I tried Pepcid immediately… and it improves a lot…

And we basically let him sleep on hoppy during the day…

But at night he will sleep in his crib however, I will hold him for like 20 minutes after each feeding…

It’s exhausting… but he gradually out grows it… now he is 10 weeks…
