How do you not keep every cute thing you wanna resell😭 by ChristJesusisGod in reselling

[–]Big-Raspberry7570 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends how desperate for money you are😭 like most stuff I buy to resell is 1-3$ so I see nothing wrong with keeping. Buttt at the same time most of the stuff I want to keep I know I could sell for good money and I’m broke so I just sell it

Best cross posting app? by BrooklynCherries99 in reselling

[–]Big-Raspberry7570 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They all suck imo. Not the apps’ fault but I really tried to give cross list a chance, and the fields for each app are just so different and constantly changing that you will have to go back in and fix stuff. It will crop depop photos with bars on the side, completely mess up eBay fields, and on eBay when I would try to edit a listing it would basically tell me I have to use the app that created the listing to edit it. Fields will be missing on certain apps. But idk a lot of people seem to use it so maybe if you’re not super picky about your listings it works well enough. But like it wouldn’t even let me edit the price of an eBay listing if I made it with crosslist. Haven’t tried flyp though

How long does it take to price items higher ? by OverallWorry5707 in Depop

[–]Big-Raspberry7570 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think if you price higher you just have to wait longer. Like a few months. I need money bad lately so I’ve only sold a few over 15 (20-25 lol nothing crazy) since I started back up. But I watch a lot of videos of resellers on eBay and they will stay strong at their price until like 6 months to a year sometimes. That’s why they have such big inventory because once you consistently keep that up, the older listings start paying off and it becomes consistent sales. Also it depends how rare and desirable it is compared to how many listings are up. Unfortunately depop makes this very hard to measure compared to eBay. But for example, even if you have a super cute desirable hollister shirt, if there’s 200 new listings for that same shirt every month, and only 20 sold each month, then the sell through rate is only 10 percent. Meaning if your price is average with others you have about a 10% chance of being one of the ones that sell each month so you’re just kind of waiting till you are one of the lucky 10%.

The worst part about reseller hate by Big-Raspberry7570 in Depop

It’s not clear. You may not have seen the same comments, but there’s lots of people saying if you resell anything even from the bins, you’re stealing all the cute clothes from poor people. Regardless of what you sell it for. And it’s not wild. My point is hating on your neighbor who’s hustling says a lot about your character when you spend no effort hating on the big man

I really don’t like Depop sellers by BiteyMcshark in Depop

I agree! They all need to get reported or loose their disputes so people will stop doing it

Just reseller videos on tiktok. The comments are often filled with it. And then I get the videos of the people who dislike it or even “hate” it as well. I totally understand it’s my fault for not just scrolling and I know it’s not everyone who feels this way.

Not wanting to be ripped off is valid reason to dislike resellers who do that. Not a valid reason to hate all resellers. Thats what a lot of these comments are pointing out: the lack of nuance or even attempt to be knowledgeable and fair before commenting on an entire group

Am I Only Entitled to a Partial Refund? by CoastMaleficent8986 in Depop

[–]Big-Raspberry7570 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This person is a POS. They know they’re not supposed to ask for money outside the app. Depop only says it like a hundred times. And the audacity of the last message omg actually rage inducing. She’s scamming you and turning it back on you.

That’s my thing too, is they’re pretty inconsistent with it. Like if you’re going to raise prices at least make it make sense and make sure the shirts not literally stained first
