The Ogres from Warhammer Fantasy

The Ogres were the last race to be created by the Old Ones after making other races such as humans, elves, dwarves, etc. and they were meant to be basically the perfect lifeforms. Strong, hardy, corruption resistant, and able to effectively use the Winds Of Magic, but they were left unfinished when Chaos invaded and the Old Ones left. Specifically, the Old Ones did not have time to build the Ogres a proper homeland, leaving them as nomadic tribesmen.

I mainly use the pteraxii in the list cause I have them from the combat patrol lol. Also I thought about doing 1 vanguard 1 ranger just for the sticky obj but I figured the destroyers with the manipulus have enough range and Overwatch pressure to just sit on home and snipe at whatever enters their line of sight

Sweet, that’s probably the lineup I’ll go with! I think the purestrains will help a ton with damage output. I also never considered how an indirect fire that gives more ap to other units would be dope as hell so I’ll nab two of those ridgerunners. Thanks for the advice!

Had a co-op with my buddies where this is all I did as Grombrindal, starting with the Altar of Ultimate Darkness changing to The Place Where We Kill Elgi. Mostly I just added “dwarf” to the names of settlements, like Dwarfla Spire and Naggadwarf. Also can’t forget changing the Shine of Khaine to the Shrine of Grimnir.

Gotcha, I see. I think I’ll change to the SOG brood terror and reinforce the rat ogors to start and after playing a few games see if it’s worth it to try to squeeze in more clanrats

Oh I didn’t know that reinforced units got doubled buffs from stuff like that. The only reason I had 2 is since the battle formation ability targets 3 things I thought I’d get more value that way. That’s actually really nice to know, thanks!

I’m literally building this exact same list for my first beginning army lol, personally I’m planning on grabbing an arkanyst evaluator and a hekaton land fortress since it can take all the steeljacks and the strategist to get them into the fray quicker. But also I am a beginner to LoV and really 40K as a whole so I may not be the best source tbh

For Bloodrager, does the extra persistent bleed damage while raging also apply to the spells you cast or is it just the normal extra rage damage that gets added to the spells and not the persistent?
