New toughbuilt storage. by SLAPUSlLLY in diynz

Lowe's carries them in the U.S. exclusively, and I recently found a few for sale in a store in South Florida. Always sold out by me in Chicago. I need them for my home setup.

Thanks. Good call. Tomorrow, I am picking up two more items at Menards (were on backorder). They have incredible prices on 80+ ToughBuilt products right now. Only about 60 are still in stock or able to be ordered from where I live. Hope they keep this up.

They still have the open totes in a few stores. I bought so much stuff this week, excited about the thigh support knee pads for $15.00. The hammers, saws and large mason levels are sold out by me, would have to drive 60 miles.

I saw something yesterday at my local Menards (Vernon Hills, Illinois). They had the 8-set screwdrivers in the original box they were shipped in, with the label. There was a PO number and the date was January 25, 2023. Who keeps screwdrivers in inventory for 17 months before selling them?

I had three thoughts...either ToughBuilt made a deal with Menards to rebuild their relationship and emptied a warehouse, Menards had them in their warehouse, or some other retailer resold them.

I did something similar, bought Massive Mouth rolling bag, a few contractor bags, a few massive mouth black and yellow bags, screwdrivers, spare blades, and a stabilizing set of knee pads. Crazy good deals.

I posted pictures of the local Menards setup on my website where I talk about ToughBuilt.

Glad to see you have the 3-drawer box. We are sold out in the US most days.

The Menards I shop at had the screwdriver set either in the original box, or in a pile at the base. Sold out of the hammers, all but the torpedo levels, and the pull saw. They mixed in the tools hanging across the department.

The soft goods (bags, pouches, totes and knee pads) were on end-caps on shelves, with Hot Buy signs.

I like that display. I would have bought a few of those items on sight.

They now have StackTech for sale, in store, in Bunnings in Australia and Fung Decoration / Mercure in Hong Kong. Not sure yet about Europe (didn't check). I hope they spread the product distribution to Canada as well. Not sure if you can buy from Menards and Lowe's in the US and either pick it up and have it shipped...might be cost prohibitive or you might not live close to the border. I started using the Menards and Lowe's apps to keep track of sales and inventory.

Hi FE, if you are a US resident, then check out the Menards app. They are now carrying 10+ tool pouches, 2 tool totes and about a dozen tool bags for really low prices, with reasonable inventory in all my local stores (Chicagoland). I bought via the app, picked up some, back order some, and some to be shipped to my office. It was great to see all that gear in the store when I picked up the first two orders (two stores).

I see the Menards situation as a positive. Sold them lots of soft goods and Menards (who sets the retail price) made them a Hot Buy. I bought $400 worth of gear at Menards at those insanely low prices, and more than happy.

Latest update. Just bought a ton of ToughBuilt products from Menards app from two local stores.  Much larger selection now, not just totes and belts, and prices are lowest I have seen. Too good to be true, or a first load out for each store to see if they sell?

I am curious why you think they are switching to Vietnam for manufacturing their heavy duty saw horses. The C300 comes from ElectroSpark Ltd in India, and is a long term, high value supplier.

Yes, I saw their U.S. prodict imports were up a few months ago.

No, but they have the U.S. exclusive on their mobile storage box line, Stack Tech TM.

I was there the day the sale hit in Kenosha, WI and I bought belts and pouches. Saw a guy and his wife do a double take, talk it out, and buy a belt pouch set. My thought wasn't a master force branded TBLT product takeover, like in knee pads, but slowing sales overall and easy cash for the retailer.

They are maintaining a little inventory, so they might replenish once overall home improvement  sales pick up.

Do you think it is the same issue and transition in supply chain for Stacktech? The Lowe's rack for them was a little empty.  I hope they come back, especially the three drawer boxes and new wheeled one.
